Ripe strawberries and germaniums
Bed of roses and rose tinted glasses
Childhood dreams and gender stereotypes

I'd loved to think that even if we disagreed on processes
That we'd still be happy for others
That in spite of how we feel about who deserves what, we'd still celebrate if another gets the opportunity we wanted
Even if they get the position we thought we deserved
I have learned that a no inadvertently could be a blessing too
Life is unpredictable
If you lean to negativity
That is all your eyes will ever see
I don't always get it right
That's why I need to pull myself towards myself at times
In all sincerity this battle people sometimes get involved in for earthly wealth
Just seem so futile when you hear of another person losing their lives (knowing all that wealth remains right here on earth)
It's not about not wanting people to thrive but it's also about being human and clapping sincerely
When your no means a yes for someone else
The reason for your no will be revealed in time
Don't envy, don't despise
It's not worth the trouble or time
