Breech Journey
From God's breath of life in mum's womb,
An embryo was formed, a peculiar;
Head up, feet down, why didn't I turn?
I was conceived, received in wonder.
Did the thunder beings favor me?
Did lightning strikes when I was born?
I didn't choose nor did I plan this;
Did God thinks it's best for me?
Breech birth it was but not Caesarean
For I did come out of mum's birth canal;
Was I forced to do it or did I finally decide
To face the world with strange eyes?
Childhood years were not so pleasant
With all its drama, pain, and lessons;
An outcast in this exile, I bore
The weight of my life's purpose.
Darkness was fond of me, I adopted
The void, the depths, the fire, the storms;
My soul was battered, mind injured
From fighting foes and my violent demons.
Innocence torn like broken angel wings,
My wounds they turned into wisdom;
Obstacles bumped along the way, I fell;
Thank God, my Messiah caught me.
I came out fine, resilient, and able
With carefree, happy-go-lucky nature;
I withstood the serious blows and thrived;
God upheld me in the power of His might.
With all sobriety I focused on the race
By the grace of my Lord and Savior;
He shall finish in me until my last journey
And I shall dwell in His Presence forever.

A fading shimmer caught an eye.
A broken halo was found.
A sliver of silver, that fell from the sky,
Was ignorantly kicked around.
Many passed by neglecting it.
When came along this young soul.
He marvelled at this luminous, divine bit
And spent days trying to make it whole.
Finally when he fixed it all
The halo out-shone a thousand Star.
He raised the halo to the sky as he stood tall.
It's brilliance illuminated near and far!
And thus a Messiah was born!

The human trap
Times I have waited for these rains,
times I have waited for my sins to wash away.
Today I'm on the road again
riding through the woods defeating my agony, maneuvering through the pain.
The clouds are afloat right by my side,
i feel I can touch the sky.
The green surrounds me on this journey,
it takes me down the memory lane.
I recollect the days I broke down and cried, the days of anger and rage.
Today I breakout of the system, I breakout of the cage.
Today I feel I have turned the page.
Though I am worn out and beat,
i am smiling away when I see water down the Creek.
The sweet pain of fatigue, the cold air running down my spine is taking me away from the despair existence and a life so bleak!
This body feels a few years old, the mind thinks of itself a 'Mystic's nest' .
Who is the real mystic? is it you? is it me?
Is it the human body which dwells in reality?
Or is it Mother Nature, the messiah of eternity?11 1 1

The lamb of god
The one who gave up on life
Without any fright
With those helpless tearful eyes,
Commited no sin;
In which people were engaged in
Was a pious soul
Had played a prime role
In Jerusalem he was crucified
Coz the Romans were not satisfied
His followers were in pain
As their prayers went in vain
That wooden beam had some untold stories to tell
Where still the savior dwells

I believed, so have I spoken!
I will declare the decree: the LORD had said unto me, You are my Son; this day have I begotten you.
Ask of me, and I shall give you the heathen for your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for your possession.
I have said, You are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But you shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.
The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry?
All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
The grass withers, the flower fades: because the spirit of the Lord blows upon it: surely the people is grass.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little.

Read MoreThe other night, we attended an academic awards ceremony for my youngest son Charles (age 13), which was held at a local church. The church had several large crosses at different points along the roof, and before I knew it, the words "Giant Messiahs rising in the sky" appeared in my head. The rest of the piece came to me over the next few days, and I finished it today. Although I no longer participate in any religion, I felt compelled to write this piece for whatever reason; so, here it is. Thank you for reading, and I am still on break.

Giant Messiahs
Rising in the sky
As beacons flew
Age old Monoliths
From different times
Decidedly ignored
By the faithless few
Subject to conjecture
And impassioned crimes
A road stop for the needy
Who were swept ashore
On harbors where such
Wicked ways had come to pass
In a maelstrom of confusion
From the uninformed
Who refused to see the truth
Within the looking glass
Many were the sorrows
Borne of mother's eyes
That fell like rain
And flowed upon
This barren Earth
Empty were both
Womb and tomb
That held the man
Who came to show the way
Through his ignoble birth
Freedom isn't free
When it's been
Washed in blood
A large and grievous price
That none could ever pay
Restless are the minds
That only question
Spouting blasphemies
And falsehoods
That hold no sway
Unable in both
Mind and heart to witness
The redeemer
Who walks with us even now
Scornful and resentful
Is their pride
Thus before the lamb
The lion shall not bow
In a mansion which hath rooms
To house the faithful
Together we shall be
Like once before
Where utterances
Spoken by the angels
Glorify the One
Whom we adore
Lonely is the soul
Bereft of knowledge
Who knows not that they
Hail from one true king
A Creator who so dearly
Doth adore us
Through his flesh and blood
He gave us everything.

This world is in a mess
I refused to be depressed
Just too many happenings to digest
Oh my God, this is too much stress!
True people are rare as a Unicorn
Maybe beautiful souls are yet to be born
Or dead in the tomb
Are we corrupted from the womb?
Selfishness is the order of the day
We care less if it doesn't pay
All I see is mere pretence
Been a while, I heard a true sentence
I cry, we need a Messiah
