उस मेज़ की दराज़ में ,
दर्ज़ हैं हमारे शौक–ए–राज़ ।
पसंदीदा इत्र की खुशबू रखी हैं जो ,
हमारा अंदाज़ सबसे जुदा करती ।
इक अलग सोच की दुनियां बस्ती ,
जो उपन्यासों के पन्नों से झलकती ।
पुरानी तस्वीरों की बारात बसती हैं ,
खरा सोना हैं वो यादें ।
पुरानी–सी फाइल पड़ी होगी ,
काबिलियत की निशानी ।
कभी मिजाज़ कभी कागज़ों के थपेड़ें झेलें ,
तब जाके नायब अल्फाज़ हम ला पाएं ।
जाने कितने स्याहि सोखे होंगे उस दराज़ ,
तब जाके ये रुबाब हासिल हमें ।
उस मेज़ की दराज़ में ,
दर्ज़ हैं हमारे शौक–ए–राज़ ।

फूल खिलते हैं,लोग मिलते हैं
फूल खिलते हैं, लोग मिलते हैं मगर
पतझड़ में जो फूल मुरझा जाते हैं
वो बहारों के आने से खिलते नहीं
कुछ लोग एक रोज़ जो बिछड़ जाते हैं
वो हज़ारों के आने से मिलते नहीं
उम्र भर चाहे कोई पुकारा करे उनका नाम
वो फ़िर नहीं आते,वो फ़िर नहीं आते ...

मनमोहक सी है मुस्कान पहली बारिश सा एहसास
कोयल सी है मधुर ध्वनि या कल कल करती कोई सलिल
कैश है या है जलाधार या धुआँधार कोई प्रपात
कस्तूरी सी महक सुगन्धित मानो फूलो का उद्यान
होंठ कमल पंखुरी से कोमल नयन तेज तलवार
देख कर उसकी अद्भुत छठा मेरे नयनाभिराम
लालिमा मुख पर सूरज की और ज्वाला का है ताप
शिरोधरा बगुली सी मानो नागिन सी हो चाल
सूरत से सुन्दर है सीरत गजब का है अभिमान
सौम्यता है सुधा सी उसमे यौवन रम्भा समान
अप्रतिम कान्ति है मुख पर सुंदरता का वो प्रतिमान
देख कर उसकी अद्भत छठा मेरे नयनाभिराम
इतना सब कुछ जान चूका हु फिर भी है अनजान
मेरी कोरी कल्पना है या सचमे कोई इंसान
शकुंतला है वो कालिदास की या अग्निमित्र की मालविका
मेरी कविता की नायिका है या फिर कोरी कल्पना
अनामिका है पर अनजान नहीं वो देख चूका हु में उसे कई बार
स्वप्नों में आती है प्रतिदिन अपना अप्रतिम रुप लिए वो
सपना हो या चाहे हकीकत कोई नहीं उसके समान
देख कर उसकी अद्भुत छटा मेरे नयनाभिराम
