Travel diaries
What a beautiful stretch of road,.
Laced either side by rich lush green trees,
Adding another darker shade to the road,
Stretched itself to the horizon.
The child in me, could not resist,
Seeing the trees that welcomed,
Accompany it at the tip of the crown,
Knowing very well, I am not a climber.
There is a child in all of us, is so true,
The thought added more around the tree,
Some slow, some fast, none unwilling to let go,
In time, perched on branches, we laughed.
Blocks of fields and garden, soothing sight
Crops ready for harvest, garden in full bloom,
Below a clear light blue sky, stretched to meet at the horizon,
Both the adult and child, found their moment.
Biding our byes, it was time to descend,
The worst fear, caught up in no time,
Stuck between branches, unable to move,
A fall anticipated, laughs so uncontrollable.
Longer than the climb, safely I descended,
Looking up at the tree, smiled with a sigh of relief,
A memory that we garnered, looking ahead,
What a beautiful stretch of road.

Action with inaction
There is always an expectation,
For everything in our daily life,
Why have we complicated it,
We wonder, we always wonder.
Can't we not make life simpler,
Allow it to find it's meaning,
Allow it to find it's course,
We hope, we always hope.
Seldom, we work towards a change,
It's the right path, consciously aware
Yet fail to yield, in the fear
We dwell, we always dwell.
Tao, philosophies from yesteryears,
Let life be like the waters,
Discovering it's course,
We seek, we always seek.
Let's restrict those added frictions,
Those that build the added expectation,
Freeing ourselves, for a new us,
Let's believe, let's believe in us.

So it's easy and difficult at the same time
Cause we're expected to be habitual
But programmed to evolve
How do we balance?
Between the two opposites of dynamics and statics?
How can we accept?
Told to be stable, but constantly changing nevertheless
How can we break free?
Cause we're tied to our fundament built by expectations and our need for self
But we cannot script ourselves
So we cling to the past and we worry for the future
Cause tomorrow it can all change

Lessons from my master
1. Monkey mind
Master once told me, the human mind is like a monkey, it is very difficult to attain peace if you continue to fight with her. It was new knowledge for me, till that day I believed that mind is everything. From my master, I entered into the world of soul and spirit.
Master continued, “I never worried about monkey mind, it will jump from one tree to another sometimes jump into the heights and sometimes falls down.
It won’t be sitting in a place with calmness. If you force her to sit, she will jump more and more.
Let her do whatever she wants, once she knows you are not giving her attention then she slowly will approach to you, starts to trick you, try to manipulate you, make fun about you, in the end, if nothing works she may even start to insult you.
If you are clever enough, then you won't react to her drama, slowly she will become tired. She will beg you, do not listen to her tricky words, just observe her. In the end, she will start to listen to you and follows you. If you are lucky enough, she will guide you towards the spirit.
But always remembers before entering into the spiritual world, you should not forget to say bye to monkey mind.”

The Three Tailors
Yu Dan (trans. Esther Tyldesley)
Three tailors each opened a shop on the same street. Each of them wished to attract the most customers. The first tailor hung up a large sign, on which was written:
“I am the best tailor in the province”.
When the second tailor saw this he determined to go one better, so he made a larger sign which read:
“I am the best tailor in the whole country”.
The third tailor thought: Am I supposed to claim that I am the best tailor in the whole world? He considered the matter for some time, and then put up a very small sign.
The small sign drew all the customers on the street to his shop, leaving the other two establishments deserted.
What did the third tailor’s small sign say?
