The first permanent scar(s)
The moment my flush touched the ground, my conscience mocked me
"is this how you gonna submit your exam form".
"It's just a tiny scratch" i replied instantly. Little did i know it was more than just a mere scratch.
People gathered in a flash of seconds. Some helped me and some helped my father in his 60s.
When i tried ( note : tried) to hold my father's arms, there was something strange about me, about my appearance, about the way my dominating arm looked.
" why is it rotated the other direction?“ my conscience panicked.
" stop with your negative vibes consii, it's just a....a....no no... Not the bones please.....they are the only... " i halted.
People broke my trust, my pride, friendships. There was this one person who even broke my precious bracelet (sighs) but this was my first experience with a BROKEN BONE, well BONES to be precise since my radius and ulna both snapped into two... Ouch.
You must be thinking why i did not felt pain yet. Well have you watched Tom and Jerry cartoon, where Tom would just hang in the air unaware of the fact that he has no ground under his feet, but the moment he looks down, Boooom,to the ground. Same was the case with me, and my tears ran like river.

But once you know what it caused you to lose , nothing can calm your senses //
When i took slow steps to the operation theatre, clouds of negativity surrounded my existence. Although the nurses where sweet souls and tried to calm my 170/90 BP down , but i knew, nothing would be fine, nothing would be same. All the buts and what ifs crawled in the basement of my mind and chewed the little hope i had.
I was not afraid of the pain and suffering that was ahead or the due date of exam form. The only thing that was eating me alive was someone's thoughts.
What would be his reaction?
What would he think of me?
Will he become the shoulder to cry on?
Or the support to rely on?
Or will he turn away?
// Will he continue to be the fresh roses in my dried diary?
Or will he sprinkle the petals on my scars and walk away? //
I might sound selfish here but imagining the biggest support of your life turn away their heels makes you think this way.
Well my oh-not-so-good-at-work anesthesiologist took 5 attempts to knock me out of my senses with her deadly dark equipments. I'm not someone to be scared of needles or blood, but that was the scariest part of the whole process.
The operation was a success and after 6 days stay i ran back to home.
My home.
// The bones drilled back to their places, the flush stitched intact and the skin left with a permanent scar//
No no no...it's not what you think.
I have accepted my scars with an open heart. They are the only permanent thing that happened to me.
It's been 7 crucial months to that incident.
// and love, I'm left embracing TWO permanent things.
