A Parentless Child- Intro
Have you ever gotten on a scary ride and screamed almost the whole entire time? First you load in and make sure the seat belt or bar is set for safety, you’re now protected on the ride! In the beginning you get an adrenaline rush because you know the ride is about to start and you start to panic and scream before the really scary part actually arrives. The ride then goes in and out of the more thrilling parts of the ride and you have some intoxicating and pleasurable moments that give you a satisfying high. Then there’s the climax when you experience the most thrilling part of the ride. At that point, some people around you are satisfied with their results but you never really reached your climax or it was everything and you just had the best orgasm of your life! Finally the end of the ride when it slows down, you may be winded and your hair may be wild from the crazy ride but once you get your breath back you get an automatic feeling of relief. After all the emotions that you went through during the ride at the end you are still ok, maybe a little frightened but you will be ok. The feeling a person has about a roller coaster is unpredictable before they get on unless they are already a person that doesn’t ride thriller rides. That is how life is! Life is like riding a rollercoaster ride. The only difference is that if you want to avoid all of those things you deal with while riding a rollercoaster, you just don’t ride it. However life doesn’t quite work the same. We do not have the choice to say we don’t want to ride the “life roller coaster”. We have to keep riding that roller coaster whether we love it or not. How we deal with having to continuously ride the roller coaster of life is paramount. When we doubt life, we need to rethink the roller coaster metaphor. It should be positive, not negative. We all know that life will give us ups, downs, turn arounds, starts and stops. Is that so awful? You are at the start something new - more anticipation. Anticipation is not the feeling of worrying, it’s motivation for the next step. It’s that butterfly feeling that gets you wound up for what’s ahead.
