Awkward Avenue
My words escape full-throttle out through my fingers before I can realise my foot's off the clutch because I'm sucking on my big toe whilst driving, without even realising it! Before I know it I'm accelerating closer to having put my foot in my mouth entirely... my brain just takes a back-seat as heart just steers.me down Awkward Avenue...and although I'm driving for all the right reasons, perhaps my timing-belt needs work!

Social ineptness.
It's a disease.

Awkwardly Ever After
It started out innocently enough...
I showed up at her door,
Wearing nothing but a tux.
"Hello", I said, with a great big smile.
I stuck out my hand,
And waited for a while.
"Oh...", she replied,
"Nice to meet you..."
(But her look showed she was mortified.)
"Just... wait there..."
Then she closed the door, and went inside.
At first I wasn't sure what to think.
Did I say something wrong?
Did I stink?
But then it hit me like a cheese ball from Beijing.
I stood outside her door,
And started to sing.
"Oh my...", she thought,
"This isn't ideal."
(But she secretly liked it a lot.)
"Could he just lea..."
Then she opened the door, and lost the plot.
The two sang until their voices were tired
The neighbours irate,
And the dogs admired.
They sang, sung, and singed the night away.
And continue to do so,
Unto this very day.
