    1 VIESTI SAAPUNUT - OSA 5

Yhteydet puhelimella ja webselaimella eivät toimi. Oikeastaan säilyttääkseni oman mielenterveyteni olen alkanut kirjoittamaan tietokoneen ainoalla toimivalla ohjelmalla.

Kuuletteko? Oletko siellä? Nimeni on Maya Vals, toivottavasti näet tämän. Kuka tahansa.
    Olen alkanut puhumaan itsekseni.

Olen asettunut talon varaston yläpuolella olevaan asuntoon.’ Yhtäkkiä ilta on hämärtynyt. Kaiutin pysyi hiljaisena.
Moottoritiellä ajaa mustahiuksinen, siististi pukeutunut Peter Vals. Kännykästä kuuluu tekstiviesti-ääni.

    LOPPU.

    1 VIESTI SAAPUNUT - OSA 3

    1 VIESTI SAAPUNUT - OSA 1 (lyhyt)

    Kuuleeko kukaan?

Heräsin toissapäivänä noin kuuden aikaan illalla mikäli digitaalinen kello oli oikeassa. Kellonaika heijastui punaisena valkoiselle hieman rapistuneelle seinälle.

    100 Years 6/6: The People

Writers note: This was my first story in English, I have only written in Finnish before. I have done translations from English to Finnish, just as a hobby before. I would love to hear good critic or thoughts about this.

This was fun, and easily would have blown out of portions, but I decided that I just leave out a lot of stuff out of it and I concentrated on showing this kind of a dream and future.

    Thank you for reading!

100 Years - Part VI: The People

All dreams must come to an end and we started to descend. I felt weak as we arrived at the large hangar for airships. I needed to get something to eat and luckily there were sellers on many shops.

The smell of Asian cuisine filled my lungs and we walk to the outlet where the vendors were filling plates. “I want vegetarian food? Do they have any?”
Esmiriah laughed out loud and padded me like a child on the back. “Yes, it’s the only thing they have. What do you want?” – “Do they have fried potatoes with vegs?” – “Yes” Dr. Esmiriah turned into the counter and ordered. “Parabe for.”

“Unhgh.” The large man with a shark like figure nodded his shoulders and went to prepare the meal.
After a while he came back with a bottle of fresh lemonade and a plate full of fried early potatoes, broccoli, onions and zucchini on it. Esmiriah showed me where to put my hand on, and the machine made a sound what heard like a notifications on an Android phone. Dr. Esmiriah smiled and I startled when the machine printed a fork and a knife. We walked near to one of the tables. Suddenly Esmiriah seemed like he’s seen a ghost. “I have to go to the bathroom; I have loved spending time with you. Wait here, I’ll be back in five minutes.” I looked around me and I see the military-type uniforms in different colors, everybody is wearing them. After following people just by looking at them, I realize it is some short of Smart garb; you put your sleeve to the machine when it prints the items. It tried my own sleeve and felt a small square inside it.

Dr. Esmiriah walked out of sight and I concentrated on my food. As I was starting to eat it, had taken maybe a few delicious bites of that dish, when a familiar looking girl, was staring me across few tables. She waved at me to come to her and I left my food on the table and went to her intrigued. “I know you from somewhere; I know that I have to take you to see her. ” –, “Who?” –, “Your destiny.” I laughed and decided to play along.

We walked together, she in the front and me following her, to one of the loading docks. There was the same black and red big airship, I’ve seen before. And a girl whose name I didn’t remember, but I know I’ve seen somewhere, or at least I think she was a girl.

She had red hair that was made into small little rasta’s and she had green-blue eyes. The girl that led me there had disappeared and Rasta girl was next to me. “I only have two cigarettes left, wanna smoke them with me?” She led me to a stair case and placed both cigs in her mouth and lids them. She gives me the other one and I smoke few puffs. Out of the blue she kisses me and I paralyze. I cannot move and I feel like I am falling down, but I am getting up. I can see my body falling the stairs as I rise higher and higher.

The sound of an alarm clock is ringing from my phone. I could feel the aching in my forehead, but I was home.

    THE END.

    100 Years - Part V: The City

I felt pain in my forehead. “You place it to your forehead and the machine gives you options to choose from, and a double is printed there. A double of the CREAM user is then part of the Ethernet. After the use, the double stops and then with the learned information is fused back to the original. Meanwhile the original can do other things for the earth he/she has learned before.”

Alice S. then took us back to the auditory. The scenes around us started to change and fill up with all different people learning different classes; it was like a show reel of what you can study in Educational Center of Youth and Beyond. When we left the auditory I could see all the doubles attending to the school, I don’t know why they were not there when we arrived, but it has something to do with Alice. I didn’t see them because I did not know of them?

I felt thirsty again and little bit sad and I felt like Esmiriah could sense it. “Hey I will show you the city.” – “You’ll love it, I just know you will! Let’s go.” He pulled my hand gently and escorted me to an elevator. It didn’t make any sound whatsoever, until a ding-sound, it arrived to the top floor. Yellow green airship with a black door waited us on the roof. I was surprisingly calm considering how exited I was. The sun was almost set when entered the airship called Gusto. It had to floors and you could stand in the deck. Esmiriah explained me something about a thing called Inertia Field and how it protects passengers even in high altitudes and fast speeds. And like it was in the GravDrops, in Gusto there were no drivers, only a large panels in front and a large stone-like crystal. You could see down and up, like there was no wall on the airship. In the lower floor was the engine room, what I did not get to see. I felt a bit dizzy when Esmiriah started the ships rise. I didn’t realize before, but the city was beautiful and as we flew by, I saw that all the houses were shaped like beehives.

100 Years - Part III: The Store

“Can we go and get something to drink? My mouth is so dry and I don’t know why.” Dr. Esmiriah went through his pockets and nodded for okay. We entered the store.

As we entered the sliding doors made of black glass Dr. Esmiriah started grinning like he was about to laugh. He knew I was wondering about the interior of the store. It was shaped like large square and there was maybe three people on the whole store. The produce looked somewhat familiar, but was not packed in packages and fluids were in large tanks. There was a 42” touch screen next to the tanks and I was looking at Esmiriah, who looked even more amused than before. It was really simple to use the device and get around in a square store if you know what you are doing, but I was new to all of this, I felt like I was not really there and the experiences felt like I was watching a 360-movie. I wanted a drink and Esmiriah walked past me and showed me how the panel screen was used, after few steps it 3D-printed a bottle in a speed I’ve never seen before. Esmiriah took the bottle to one of the tanks and poured the sparkling water in it. Then he walked back to the screen and placed it back to where it was printed, and the machine made a buzzing sound, that had burned a barcode in to the bottle with a laser. “It uses the same principles as did the time capsule, it manages to create a coherent beam of light that allow things to manifest, some solid, some just as the burned barcode.” Dr. Esmiriah explained calmly and a bit amused.

I noticed three people at the store and I remember everybody was wearing the same kind of clothes, two of them dressed all black and one of them in gray, they felt like the uniforms of soldiers. I was really hoping to speak to either one of them, but somehow they moved so quickly, I couldn't see or make out of their faces. We backed back from the tanks and there were these beams with screens and barcode readers in them. There were no workers in the shop and the counter were for self-service.

100 Years - Part II: Transportation

    100 Years 2/6

The door had the initials “t. A.” on it and it led us to a transport area.
There were cars, or at least they looked like cars. Cars without tires, and they were shaped like a tear drops. The panel flooring continued inside the transport area, as we walked by it to one of the cars. It made the familiar sound of unlocking and the doors opened up and we entered the silver bluish car. It had no wheel, only a large control panel on the front with a touchscreen and apparently a voice command as Dr. Esmiriah ordered the doors to close. The seats were like sofas that can hold two to three people, one in the front and one in the back, and in the middle there was a table with a screen saver of light beams on it. Dr. Esmiriah started to touch the screen on the front and a map appeared on it. ⛦⛥⛤
“At first we are going to the Educational Center of Youth and Beyond, the map displays the route and this car, we call the GravDrops, will take us there approximately in twelve minutes, just enjoy the ride, look around you and when we come back I’ll show you how to use the Table.” Dr. Esmiriah tapped the table between us and he did something with it and the car started slowly to move like it was sliding.
It made a hovering sound while we were sliding the black panel street, it was filled with GravDrops just like the one we were in, black, yellow, red and green ones. They were moving in a perfect sync and a really small distance from one another. You could not see inside of the vehicles, because of the high distance speed. The sky was beautiful beige blue and hardly any clouds, what strike my eyes, were the Airships flowing in the wind. There were majestic beasts and smaller for-fun-types. The biggest one headed straight into the direction of the falling sun was black and red in color and had damask large wings on it, it think just for decoration, because they didn’t move, but they looked amazing.

My mouth was getting dry as we get closer to our destination at the ECYB. There were, what seemed to be a store, right next to the educational center.

    100 Years -PART I: 2116

    100 Years – 1/6

“Keep calm. You are regenerating, you might say you are being reborn. Keep calm and open your eyes. Slowly just open them and look around you. You manifested in this time capsule. We are bringing people back from the year 2016, that’s where you are from. You may feel a bit shocked at first and the lights may seem bright, but that’s normal, my name is Dr. Esmiriah and I will guide you in this new era.” –
“You are waking up exactly in the year 2116, one hundred years from your present day. You are here now, but what you take with you is constrained by the reality of your present self, you only see what you’d see normally. Like transportation, education, work places, people and the city. Even though you are flesh and blood in this reality, I must be honest with you. You are here to observe and by the time you have walked past these streets, your current body will stop functioning and after the Great Stop, you will wake up normally in your bed, in the year 2016.” –
“We are not sure what happens to the memories you produce during your stay, but this is the future build on people’s dreams and hopes, and if the future will be different, how would we even know the timeline that we are in now?”

As you can imagine, lights were blindingly white, as was the Dr. Esmiriah’s jacket. Esmiriah had fuzzy brown hair and green eyes and no facial hair. He had black jeans and orthopedic shoes and a big welcoming smile on his face. The room was filled with human size capsules, four on each side. They were silver and black and there was a golden ring in the middle, like a button you’d love to push. The floor was shiny and black, maybe marble, or maybe they were panels of some sorts. Dr. Esmiriah turned around with a mirror on his hand and showed the reflection, thank God, everything looked like it was supposed to.

We walked through what seemed to be a hospital or something similar, we passed at least seven doors before we entered one of them.

    ~M. A. Mortén
