She was a
flower
A delicate one
Surviving in a harsh winter
Wrapped my hands around her
Kept her in my warmth
Protected her from the gruesome cold
She started to grow
But as she grew,
Her thorns grew in me
I bled
And I bled
profusely,
Still
Gave her my unconditional love
Endured the pain from out
and Within
To keep her safe
Slowly awakening,
"Who am I?"
She asked with her half-closed eyes
Then
Bewildered and terrified, by the blood
I spilled
Which was now all over her
"I'm toxic to you"
She said to me
"I'll leave you"
She murmured as she left.
She was a
Rose
But
Alas,
Who'll bloom in some other's arms
And I'm a bloody man
Left with a bleeding heart

Saranghae
Amidst the noise of waves
A heart sunk on the shore
The edges glimmered like
a perfectly shaped diamond
As twilight fall upon it
its rays made the moon
hide behind the clouds
After singing songs to
all the deaf ears
through all those years
Who listened to the words
But couldn't find the irony
of pain and suffering
shrouded perfectly
under the fragrance of love
Which is nothing more than
a whimsy of poets
Caging it in one embodiment alone
While its a bird that perches
on different branches
that make it feel like home
But they want it caged
and make the words
suffer in limited boundaries
Not allowing them to
spread their wings
And that's what the agony
of a poet's heart
Not letting it be on its will
Has to go through painful drill
To bend its words to other's will
Because for it love is
When it fell for the aroma
of freshly inked words
words that grab his hands
and take him to worlds
that no ordinary being
could ever land

Have You Ever wondered about your purpose of existence on this Earth?
Ever took a second out of the limited circle of primal needs to ponder over how you should lead your life?
For me, its mostly related to finding what the inner self wants. Our existence and struggle is to find our inner self. Most of us don't find it and die without knowing our purpose. And that's what makes most of us restless because we fail to meet us. Not knowing what we exactly want, as we are missing on a crucial need; a need for accomplishment, makes us feel the void as a soul without a purpose is lost soul.
Every life has a purpose which can be different for every single soul. We are not here to just repeat the same cycle (EAT, SLEEP, REPEAT?) but there's so much more to our lives.
Just like Iqbal said
خودی میں ڈوب کر پا جا سرِاغ زندگانی
(Khudi me doob kr pa ja Suragh-e-Zindgani
Dive into yourself to find your purpose of existence)
This sums up I guess all of the debate on purpose of life
Know yourself, know God, and know what God has programmed you for. Allah has created a definite role for you and makes you restless to realize and fulfill that.
I believe we are the shadow of God on this earth. We are His خلیفہ (Caliph) on this very Earth. So how can our lives circle around just trivial things and can't have a bigger purpose
The limited circular purpose was for earlier human beings of genus Homo who was trying to survive in the wild. But we have evolved mentally so much since then if we don't go beyond our limits then we are no more different from them.
You are Homo sapiens, the crown creation, and you need to remember that. Try to think out of the box and ponder what exactly you want from life and how you want to do it. Your inner self holds the answer to this question. And when you find it, test your self beyond the limits and step out of your zones to accomplish what you are meant for. And nothing is as satisfactory as the sense of accomplishment.
