IS IT NORMAL TO THINK OF IMPENDING DOOM?
Is it normal to lose all hope and determination? To be crushed under the weight of existential dread and waning motivation? What is considered normal in a system that feeds on the
vulnerable? UNDER CAPITALISM EXPLOITATION IS NORMAL.
Is it normal to set the gulf of Mexico on fire? To watch as a portal to hell opens up in the middle of the ocean? What is considered normal in a system that deteriorates our environment? UNDER CAPITALISM DESTRUCTION IS NORMAL.
Is it normal to bear a 'cost of living? To know that being alive isn't enough and we must serve a monetary purpose? What is considered normal in a system that makes death billable? UNDER CAPITALISM DISREGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE IS NORMAL.
Is it normal to watch the economic market collapse? To witness world powers fighting each other to become the biggest colonizer? What is considered normal in a system that facilitates a world war? UNDER CAPITALISM INVASION IS NORMAL.
A system that aims to change the notion of power to misuse it through vice and greed is not normal. UNDER CAPITALISM NORMAL ISN'T NORMAL.

Tarsands
The capitalists piping gets welded in place.
Our bipedal survival for our sacred human race.
Warmer it gets to becoming a hellscape like venus.
Like the Buffalo, Cod fish and ice sheets between us.
Gone is the atmosphere of ozone protectorate.
We are the desperate, ignorant and inconsiderate.

Hostile Policy
Racial unrest flailing in a sea of deciet
Long capitalist experiments of hierarchy
Ethnic cleansing and wealth exploitation
Steal that which is indigenous royal land
As long as the grass shall grow decreed
Imported colonists evangelizing heathens
Rape, pillage, burn and eradicate history
Building export businesses to turn profits
But what is better than free slave laborers
Isolated and alienated and sold as chattle
No Irish need apply and coolie Chinese
The machine needs human fodder fuels
Add, Gypsies and Jews, Germans or Poles
Uneducated, starving, desperate and new
Give us the free, tired, poor and yearning
We will sell them our dreams of sacrifice
Apprenticing minority business owners
Who will continue the prosperous dream
By starting businesses that emulate past
Can't beat them, join them; seeking cash
Keep wages low and all states inhumane
Start foreign wars to disable their stability
We can recruit who's left to work in shame
Establishing lopsided trade for Wall Street
To encourage the migrants to come north
Nothing changed but the language cries
This machine must feed for us all to eat
We consume the poorest to maintain poor
The ugliness of capitalism needs despair
Indians, Slaves; indentured or otherwise
We are once victims, complicit and guilty
The global system uses sovereign pawns
Whos people were forced into relocating
Now they can stay home and stay poorer
Why ship in the filthy workforce overseas
When they can simply ship the factories
Cheaper without any protective labor laws
The elites in power now only move money

Solar Storms
Solar storms burn through our ozone layer
We can see the Aurora Borealis lit up now
New England and such as its heating up
We have little atmosphere to protect life
Too little, too late; we race to extinction
Etreme weather events occur daily now
Somewhere the unprecedented occurs
She will warm then She cools, evolving
Why rush the catastrophic ending faster
Can't we collectively stop economics
Could we not work together, to survive us
Are we that ignorant of a wasted species
If we tried and ceased producing for want
Instead only produce that which we need
Could we all just work on those problems
To reverse the damage of splurging death
Perhaps, we might cease earning profits
In order to heed such prophetic warnings

Black Friday coffee
Early, eastern Black Friday dawn
Steps silent, wet our neighbors lawn
My sandal foot brushed silver grass
As I early took out Thanksgivings trash
For cream we need for coffee to drink
Simplicity halts an end nearing the brink
No competition today as disease reigns
Capitalism kills! my core annually exclaims
But my mug has yet its morning warms
So off I go to quell today's simpler storms
And if you must fight, scrap, scratch and claw
Know that I have ceased fighting in sober draw

Human Pageantry
A justice of practicality yet dreaming of ever more,
that damn dream again, whitewashed picket fence
Like peacock feathers of uniformed human bees
Dogmatic capitalism corrupting from sole to skull
A buskers pine rosin rasping a worn horsehair bow
Subteraneum beneath the cities commerce streets
Seconds of musical distraction wafting in the rush
Hurried competition, as standing room sardines go
Back to there nocturnal domiciles, winding down
Perhaps a shepherds pie or leftover casserole dish
Soon, off to slumber to rise early again to disperse
Washed, rinsed, repeated but the soul never cleans, never

Emancipated
That filthy bar where born losers once did wallow
Now shuttered dark as downcasts should follow
Damn their economy of working poor infighting
Where sadist matadors joust thunder with lightning
Here are our dogs lives, bitten rabid with slavery
This dice game long rigged, a husbandry of tyranny
No clemency for the penurious, righteous or moral
Disaster capitalism profiting of plagues or of scandal
Silent is all justice as Mother warms silent in peril
Extinction is our natural stipend, emancipated, final

patriotism
Tailored in the dimming light of pivotal loss
A spectacle emblazoned in televised ashen dust
Plots of coalesced revenge befell capitalist ideals
Disintegrating perceptions of innocence or peace
Message interpreted an replied in profitable terms
Longterm tortuous ground wars drone on in evil
Eye for eyes as humanity suffers from patriotism

Utopian Nowhere
Awash in inorganic yet free of litter.
Neither plastic bottle or cigarette linger.
No sidewalk or dog excrement underfoot.
Just gray dust.
Luxury species just couldn't evolve.
After.
Motorized traffic went with the oxygen, water and fuels.
Humanity left long before the poisonous society crumbled.
Gone now are the immoral.
Utopia should have finally existed but it just does not live here.
For here is after.
It's as if the former gravital atmosphere was what allowed such naive hope to have existed.

Friday Black
Burn it down with that most volatile fuel.
Capitalism still kills in spight of currency or policy. The blood drips sweet on my new big ass cheap Chinese TV. As the dawn of the Blackest Friday of all, the line is drawn. Gone are the maternal skirmishes over Cabbage Patch kids. The tears are still there as we convert time into labor and labor on to loss. Supply and demand be dammed as the poor get poorer to satisfy Santas perverted needs. Online goes the deal to remove the carnivorous desperation. Trick em young to show up daily, head down as headed through school, work and life. The tit is the buck, and the buck starts there. Great little workers, enslaved for two weeks vacation and barely enough to be sheltered, clothed and fed. Triple baconators all around. To balance such little November resources in order to shop sales is a respite from our inevitable yet seemingly slow death. A new year looms closer to the hole; Another one around the burning light as the landfill is capped.

Waste Extravaganza
In this mall, with fountains and trees,
Useless employees wait like hunters for prey.
Comfortable seating and old soft rock music,
Such extremes from the minimal survivorship of us huddled masses.
We the second hand thrift store folks, the old tattered and utilitarian thread wearers.
Who will be the bearer of bad news that my stay is almost over.
Out into the cold with surplus sleeping bag and pack.
Moldy sweat boots that hurt my weary feet.
Not one penny to my name, I'm just a tourist here.
I people watch the ridiculousness, window shopping and busy work of drones.
Such an extravagant waste for the many, as the few go tired into the snow cold night on foot.

Complicit
Capitalism kills and we humans are all complicit. Every dollar that you earn is exploitive in nature and exploitive of nature. Yes, every item that is bought is the grease that keeps this destructive and most sinful machine churning towards total extinction. As we already endangered flora and fauna, poisoned the water and air, so too are we racing towards the precipice. Through our uninterrupted extinction of species we edge closer to our inevitable doom. We only care about our individual more! Time will balance out the earths books and we will receive our collective more. Habitat destruction.

Flowing
Its March 14th in the Whaling City, 40° and sunny at 4pm. A foot of snow meltwater flows down to the harbor. As Springs first day but a week away, I embrace the vernal change. Like a hibernating Black Bear, once caged inside by drifts of cold, white and dark. Surrounded by artists and crime, illegal seafood, drugs and grime; I think of Marfa, Texas. I dream of the warm sun as they sure must often dream of wet cool rain. What an artistic installation it would be to build a pipeline to West Texas. An exchange of excess commodities from one art haven to another. Our surplus of snow and rain flowing south for a thousand plus miles to contribute to an art oasis in the desert. We now transfer toxic oil to soon pollute aquifers, contributing only to our extinction. Perhaps one day we will need to pipe drinking water or oxygen to breathe too. Perhaps my grandkids will be less critical, cynical and gullible. Perhaps when enough is enough and our acid filled oceans have risen 30 feet. Massachusetts a brownfield, without precipitation awaiting earths cleansing ice age.

Elective Povert
My underwear have run out, clean socks wil be next. I washed dishes with laundry soap, then my hair with dog shampoo.
Thank God, I am not brushing my teeth with vinegar today. To be alive is Gods great grace.
To be voluntarily poor in America, raising a family on less than fifteen grand a year from social welfare.
To keep such a spiritual wealth, I'd be willing to wipe with junk mail flyers.
