A cough here, a sneeze there
Sound the bell; the reaper nears
Concrete cracks, fading tracks
The scythe of time openly shears
Tick tock, Clung clang
The clock tower shifts gears
Gray skies, barren fields
And a bunch of silent piers
Hark now, else thy fate is sealed
Death and rot have no peers
Morrow is history; Not indiscernible mystery
Let not ignorance bare jeers
A needle here, a pill there
Quenched are immediate fears
Barely a fix to nature’s tricks
Until an uglier head it rears
Tick tock, Clung clang
The clock tower shifts gears
Gray skies, barren fields
And a bunch of silent piers
Mend thy paths; hark thy asks
Death and rot have no peers
Morrow is history; Not indiscernible mystery
Let not greed bare tears
A seed here, a tree there
Flocks of birds, herds of deers
Borders dissolved; resources shared
Acceptance; even for queers

Blue skies, golden fields
And a bunch of bustling piers
Hark now; growth is nigh
Joy and laughter thy hears

PAYBACK
The morning star fades our smile away,
As if a new intern lost its way.
The doors were shut,
The voices of people were hardly heard,
The streets were filled with cold blooded murder’s thirst.
How could one be happy?
Being prisoned in the places which once brought comfort.
Money wasn’t readily at hand and
The shops were deserted even with foods that were once off-brand,
Wounded by the protector of laws,
One returns empty hand.
Mother cries looking at their new born,
How would she make him supper?
How would she feed his man?
Humanity swept down from the feet of man,
Cruel as he was, now the devil himself couldn’t withstand.
Population humongous, none a helping hand.
Graves were out of place to burry lifeless man so they turn to ghats while death bell rang,
The markets took over by corrupt and emotionless hands,
Some paid for their well being while others could only join hands.
Things were hard yet, we surpassed.
God made us pay for each deaf ear we gave,
Mother Nature prayed and God took lives away,
We turned our back to God, feeling betrayed,
While He’s taking turns to make us pay.

A warm hug with a friend you haven't seen in a long time may be gone forever. The spinning cheers will no longer work; unhygienic as well as perhaps the metaphorical misfortune and collision-shoulder. It’s hard to call arm and shoulder because, you know, social and physical distancing even at the metaphorical level. Or maybe even a high-five or a handshake will be too late. Flying kisses will be popular across ages.
Like many of us today, my family does not leave the house. It used to be difficult to be hospitalized, but now it is more difficult, the plague is spreading to anyone, anywhere, especially in hospitals. Add to that the many must -pass checkpoints, including an explanation of why you need to get out of town.
Talk about closed-community ties and inciting robust local economy, not surprisingly in the days to come, as long as there is no clear light on where this ECQ caused by the virus is headed, and-hopefully not! - Expenses have been exhausted due to unemployment, the online store will also become a job placement site. I also know many in different countries today rely on small-scale and fast trade over social media.

Arrested by an holiday
From over the seas, it crept quickly.
Hands of affliction had formed a first
Smashing past it way.
Men like steak It, made a feast
Common cold becomes uncertain
"Ring an emergency" they would alarm
Like a wild fire in harmattan,
It caught up with the round world
Every skyscraper and thatched roof alike
Beyond borders of foes and allies
A killer with no compromise
In demand, was a sacrifice
The world on holiday.
No! not to appease the monster
A good wash would suffice
But to tame this everyday,
We stayed together in a distance.
We said it is a silent war, a vendetta
They said it is a power takeover
We said it is a plague by God
They said it is the end time
We kept guessing, yet
Arrested by an holiday.

Zoom fatigue
Meeting after meeting. Day after day. Talking to people through screens and microphones. Gun to your head, put your hands on the keyboard! That's the life now. Covid holding us hostage. We went digital so fast and hard just to avoid catching something only to catch that zoom fatigue. Who knew staying at home could be so exhausting. They say a work-life balance will keep that zoom fatigue at bay.

No one else is around to drink with you.
Salute to the doctors,nurses and the hospital stuffs ,
Pray to God for them,
Ask God to give powers to them to fight against this deadly virus .

"Lockdown"

Dear Diary,
These past days were traumatic. India is in a total Lockdown because of the Coronavirus, so I’m forced to stay at home, against my will. I miss going out with my friends, to parties or visiting my grandparents and spending time with them. However, I’m going to do what I need to do if I want the Coronavirus out of here.
The country was wholeheartedly Locked down, with all the schools closed and people needing to maintain social distances from one another when they are walking or going to the supermarket. However, on a positive note people are starting to wash themselves more often and are generally being more hygienic.
Just hoping that this will end up soon and we all can be back to normal ...

Hope
It's hard that pandemic has altered our lives in many ways. While most of us try to adapt, being home, some are left with no choice rather to expose themselves to the virus, just to keep the society functioning.
Yes it's sometimes boring, frustrating, we get tired simply thinking of what is going to happen. But then remember, there are people out there being affected by the virus but couldn't get admitted in the hospitals just because there is no bed vacancies. And unfortunately some are dying due to lack of oxygen, which we never thought, would cost money some day. Stay home, stay connected ,Be for each other, Check out on your loved ones, Spread positivity, Do remaind yourself to be grateful for Today.
We are BLESSED that we are HOME.
Better days are yet to COME....
