We can love our culture, heritage and story while still filled with questionable doubt. If pride cameth before the fall no proud man is now left standing. When we grovel in the gutters of human tragedy as commonplace how can we fear to fall further still. As they round the bend, the last good thought fell on the blade of history. Tick, tock goes the clock. Friendships are free but we cannot trust that which is not bought. We must pay to play in this shallow life of death. Fast ropes are big business as Syria awaits. This land is polluted by plagues of seemingly ordinary people. Ignorant proximity to the smoking guns. Proxy wars fought from the boardroom of commerce. Extinction imminent our mothers promise.

Divide and Confuse
Nothing is new as they divide us away from our true enemy. Our true war victory is in solidarity. This is a class war but you all seem too far gone. Class is rarely spoke of anymore of us versus them. Never before have we been so linked in our subversive oppression. I fear we will never learn our lesson. Rarely can we look past the enemies we were given to see the true enemies that are hidden. We are the poor with the Fox now breathing at the Whitehouse door. Widespread poverty across all party, color, faith and group. The global commons divided up and sold, humanity but acceptable collateral damage. We the drowning flies in their satanic soup. Global capitalism unchecked and free, big banks do what they will regardless of you and me.
Foriegn bond restructuring bankrupts a territory. Economic crisis makes huge profits for them while our life decays. Their housing bubble puts us homeless on our knees, yet bailout after bailout for corporate entities. Meanwhile we are divided on trivial bathroom matters while the 1% lead us American sheep to the slaughter.

Peace is Unprofitable
The spine of a nations greed and excess need is blockaded by activists thwarting its progress.
Corporatist police spray frigid water or mace and beat grandmas with batons about the face.

Cardboard Crowns
Burger king feasts come in the form of Western Union money order receipts. By Gods grace a family member sent some currency crumbs of a rats race. Heavy lies the cardboard crowns of our Angelic daughters parents. She's oblivious to greed and happy to be loved, her wants are few and her needs fulfilled. Splurging on processed takeout from the kids menu, toy included. Love is in the air but smog chokes the view. Unfair economics fuel the lifestyles of the single percent privileged few.
Gentrification strides the great economic divide as we ride the ebb and flows of loss and even more, urban loss. While the select majority thrive; minorities survive, relocate or die. For survival is a gift best served al fresco, bum feed in a Styrofoam dish. Displaced away sulking as their ghettos erode into luxury splender. The conquerers are served flavored espresso to sip in mispelled cups. Echo the siren as liberty weeps.
But what of the servers, the servants and workers? But what about raising children instead of dogs? But what of communal places of worship and places of play? This cities ship has sailed with the poor acting as its ballast, propulsion and freight. But what of community? The location may be the same but now sits sterile and affluent yet temporal and lifeless. Another hip social expirement in class warfare to be forgotten. Another Titanic versus Iceberg where everyone looses and the captains of industry, pilot both vessels. Another bubble burst. No thirst ever quenched. Ice Cubed or crushed, ashes to ash, dust to dust.
Upon this rock they will build thy fortune and the gates of hell will open. No Gods, no masters, no problemo. Material wealth and personal will is spiritual bankruptcy and insulated solitude. I buck the star of green smocked java pouring baristas. I brew my own coffee, never mispell my own name and dont rename cup sizes in gimmicky romance languages. My smiley face smile is hard and inverted, with tears of sorrow boiling out of me eyes. They are the crushers of dreams, the consumers of music and the destruction of musicmakers. These patrons of art and profit leave no scene unbroken or stream unpolluted. Born losers never will win. Last to know, never to cry.. why? God. why?
For we are the displaced midnight movers of lunar light. We are the evicted. We are the moved and the shaken, the broken and forsaken.
We are the anonymous. We are the ninety-nine percent.
