It's just an illusion,
"I can't do it..."
That's a delusion,
Running just the errands,

Run and rule the world,

She is someone's daughter
Then by time.. She is a mother, wife, sister and a aunt too..

SHE is another mother to her father
A father can never deny his daughter.
SHE is a best friend to her mother
A mother can share her every secret with her daughter.
SHE is a support system to her sister
A sister can never feel alone when she have a girl as a sibling.
SHE is a great advisor to her brother
A brother can get the best suggestions or advices from a sister.
Even if she grows up,
SHE will remain a kid to her grandparents
They can spend their quality time with their grand daughter.
And at last,
SHE IS A TREASURE TO THE WORLD ��

Girl
She felt a light..
Upon her closed eyes..
A touch, warm and caring..
Different from her usual warmth..
With a touch, of delight and joy.
Wrapped in an embrace..
New to this world..
She heard voices, unknown to her..
A sudden recognition, "what was it? "
It seemed familiar..
The voice, she had heard it a million times..
The voice, who protected her and carried her around..
The voice, beautiful and soothing..
The voice, a powerful one..
Argued against the other voices..
She is not to be killed, it said,
It's not her fault to be born a daughter..
She too, had the right..
To live, to be cared
To share the happiness, others shared..
She is now growing with an aspiration..
To be like the voice,
Beautiful enough to bewitch the heart..
Powerful enough to rip the world..
Calm enough to soothe the mind..
Firm enough to free the bind..
Now, She is a girl with a pride..
Darling of her mother..
A symbol of guilt..
To all those, who looked at her as an eyesore,
As a thing to be despised..
She is now self reliant..
She doesn't need your support or certificate..
Just appreciate her, the way she is..

Day of girls
Celebrating a birth of girl child is not just enough , she should be free from the shackles of hypocritic society. The demons in her life are other women in the skin of mother in law, jealous neighbors and relatives. These are unspoken and accepted in the society. Why ? The day is girls day when she stands for herself, says NO to the atrocities committed on her by other women and society , when she is not just physically alive but alive from within. She should not just be biologically beautiful but a beautiful soul who treats everyone with love and empathy.
