Sleep
"Did you get to sleep?"
"Yeah. I'm still tired though."
"At least you got to sleep. I've been up for hours."
It's crazy when you think about it, sad even. Some persons are sad or depressed or stressed to the point where sleep is practically impossible for them. We sympathize with them for the lack of sleep they get and having to go through nights of insomnia.
What about those who do sleep? Sounds crazy right, but the rest of us are sad or depressed or stressed to the point where all we can do is sleep. These people are overlooked because once you're sleeping, I guess that's all people want to hear. They don't notice it's an escape. Isn't it sadder?
You never really sleep. You just ignore the world and escape it. It's worse than not sleeping.
Though hours pass excruciatingly slow when you're wide awake, they pass so fast when you escape for what feels like minutes. At least you know you're tired because you never slept, but it's worse to know you're tired even though you "slept", you never really did.
