To Travel
I love to travel
The more I do it the easier it gets
But...a hint of fear is always in the back of my mind
Right at the boarding gate
Pass in my hand
Going down that long metal tube
Telling me to turn around
Wanting me to stop in my tracks
But I have faith all will be well
I settle in my seat
Cringe at takeoff
And look out at the pretty sights below
Anticipating kicks in as the announcement for desired destination is blurted over the speaker
My foot starts tapping at the awaited adventure spotted outside my window
We land
And I smell the air of a new chapter in my book
A new exploration

Cities lights flashing crazily then achromatize
