She swallowed her pain,
But it hid in her belly,
It took roots in her womb,
It started growing.
Her pain was resting
In her lap, she nursed it,
While bearing the scars
Caused by its birth.
When it looks her
In the eye and smiles,
Something unfurls in
Her heart, something
Warm, something soft,
But is it love?
She cannot tell.

Phoenix
To rise like the
Morning sun,
On my neglected dreams,
To shake off
The remnants of fear
That still cling to my
Heart,
To unwrap the
Magic still sleeping
In my bones,
To let the floodgates
Break apart, as my passion
Pours like wildfire into
The furnace that is my heart,
To put on my crown
As I greet the day,
Let the world know,
I bid farewell to the
Shipwreck of the past,
I am not who I was yesterday,
They put me through fire,
Thinking I was a witch,
But look, how
From the ashes,
This Phoenix has risen again.
©thebhavnasaxena39 2 8Remember me as a crevice
On the face of the moon,
The place where you
Would send your dreams
To hide.
Remember me as a tiny
Star still twinkling in the
Dark night, my eyes still
Holding hope, despite
All the carnage around us.
Remember me as a drop
Of dew resting on the rose
Petals, catching the sunlight,
Making little rainbows for
Your eyes only.
Remember me as the fire
In your breath as you take
My name, remember me as
The crimson of your blood,
As you are lost in the throes
Of passion, remember me
As the bruised beauty of the
Warrior as you fight the uphill
Battle of life, remember me as
The deafening dignity of the
Bird as it dares to fly despite
The winds plucking at its wings,
Remember me as the fury of the
Storm as it uproots everything
That comes in its way.
Remember me as the woman
Who is both dragon and damsel,
Remember me for the oceans
Of my love, and dare not to forget me,
For my wrath runs just as deep.

A free verse poetry letter to my ex...
#dosbambiwrites #dosbambiinspires #lifelessons #lifeissues #love #affection #poetry #freeverseHey dear ex,
it's been a while.
I thought about you today,
like I did in the distant past, for a while
I wondered about your welfare,
how's you and him getting on,
does he tickles your mind, get you on
and make you feel like a woman?
I wondered how you get by with this guy.
I wondered how he makes you feel,
how does his touch makes your soul feel,
does he carry and cares for you well,
does his voice cuddles your ears,
do his eyes look pass your face to your eyes,
and do your eyes see the stars in his eyes?
The stars you love to see in mine.
Is the pasture all green on his side,
are his money enough for you now?
My affection for you makes me wonder
about your welfare, how are you are faring?
I hope you got all you wanted,
I hope your smiles are true and still beautiful.
Hey dear ex, are you happy with him...?
Search your heart for the answer
when you are by yourself.
©dosbambi6 0My gift poem
Here, take my words as your gift
Whether precious for you or not
For me, they are like a source of living
Keep my lines safe with you
At least, folded under your notebook
Read my verse at least once
Before keeping them in a corner of your shelf
Words of thanks aren't needed to me
Just live happily and smile while you read a part of me
Dipped in ink or typed through small keyboard
©wordsbybleak15 2 1- vaidant Words as gift mean the person has been etched for a timeline, good one :)
- wordsbybleak @vaidant Thanks
I can feel the earth shake under my feet again,
Furiously growl as it slowly open its mouth to swallow me into nothingness,
It's fangs sharp and ready as they pull me down into darkness.
The hollow sound of the deep abyss felt home,
Calling me to tarry once more.
The emptiness feels nothing
But peace I crave is everything
But home is no more than this solitude,
Built a dangerous fortitude.
Merry is more than just a word,
For my soul not rejoices in this world.
Hope etched in my wounds
Glowed in the darkness as if it mounds
The scars remained,
To let Hope be reminded.

Night follows me down
With ghostly echoes
Inscribing their immortality
On the space around me
And the air smells of old books.
I run my fingers over the filled pages
As my bookshelf hums
The frayed ends of ribbon bookmark
Pressed beneath the fat diary
Heave eddies of murmurs
And the threads whirl.
My handwriting shimmers
And the beast thriving in them
Takes a new unknown shape
That splatters onto many a paradoxes
And for a while, writings go invisible.
A blank page emerges..
beneath which are the layers
Of ink in myriad colors
And gently wedged between 'em are the
Frayed ribbon bookmarks
Reminding me of empty days
And brutal nights
Reminding me of interludes
That consumed my light.

Resurrection
I can never
Forget the surreal
Rage that some
Places left me with,
Places where they
Screamed, my tribe
Of women, branded as
Witches, left to burn;
Places where the dreams
Of little girls lie, waiting
To die, or to be rescued,
Struggling to survive in
The coffins made of
Bloodstained wings,
That were plucked from
These girls, just as they'd
Understood what it is to fly;
I can never forget,
I can never forgive,
These sins, and many others
That one half of the world
Has committed against the
Other, dwindling half,
And in my rage, there
Waits a resurrection,
Of women who soar
The skies, of girls whose
Dreams shape tomorrows,
Of my ancestors who
Choked to death
On their stifled sobs,
Of my sisters who
Died fighting.

Pain, pleasure,
Confusion & Comfort
I can only imagine
What her words
Will tell me....

Waiting
In the dark,
Monsters and hopes
Place bets.
Who would you pick?
©thebhavnasaxena12 0Voice
You speak in whispers
So as to not awaken
The memories of your sins,
You tread softly in the
Dark of the night,
Revisiting the graves
That can no longer hold
Your skeletons,
You breathe heavy, as
An unknown weight presses
Down on your chest,
How could you sleep,
So long as the tiny voice
You thought you had left
Behind in the dusty old lanes
Of childhood, now comes back
To haunt you every living hour,
That voice of conscience that
Doesn't plead, but demands,
You must repent
You must repent.

Words, so cheap, fell away like dry leaves, as the winds of adversity swept my soul;
Words, so poor, came undone, dragging their feet, carrying the burden of my emotion;
Words, so iridescent: fire in my voice, and snow on their graves.

I just felt like writing something _●_/ #freeverse #freewrite #IknewhowIwantedtoendthisbuthatedmyownwritinganddidn'treallywanttolookatitanymoresoItookthelazywayoutsorry.
I grew up on an island, wide and beachless.
Limiting.
Isolating.
The winds brought naught but seeds.
The sea brought naught but debris.
There was the island
And then there was me.
I cursed the island that plagued me, the bane of my existence.
I cursed the empty land and solitude for making a vast expanse claustrophobic.
I cursed the air I breathed for continuing my empty existence
But curses shaped the world around me,
not at all.
When suddenly upon the muddy shore
There appeared a ship.
Its mast hung upon a rock in the east,
Its hull lay upon its side,
Splintered.
Broken.
I approached cautiously with fear in my heart.
Could someone be aboard?
My emotions twisted like snakes in the pits of my stomach.
A scratching could be heard from the cabin of the vessel.
A scratching on the door of the cabin of the vessel.
A scratching like a rabid dog on the cabin of the vessel.
Sound caught in my chest like a weight fell upon it.
My breath stopped like a timer'd expired.
An involuntary step forward lurched me from inside out and I was again aware of the situation.
Aware of the dread kindling, knowing it was just.
But the sound of my foot,
(That one small action,
That action I didn't take consciously,)
Cracked through the air like thunder.
And whatever behind the door stopped scratching.
Stopped scratching.
And started snarling.
The island air was dense with the vibrations.
The few trees shook as if in fear, and rightly so.
What's behind the door I still don't know.
But I know I'd feel safer if I'd stayed alone.

On this ridge of time,
shore of space, edge of light;
a bulb dims its flame
within the smoke-littered halls
resting upon the margin of cadence.
Dancers on marble tile
wave their misty perfumes
for the patrons of dawn.
Another raven on a greco bust
sighing tunes of forsaken times;
centuries of babeldom and lust.
Here we are perched
in eld fragrances and dust.
Mould a banner of steel
for innovation and unity.
Lovestruck children
lured by sirens on the crooked pier.
Another renaissance on the margin
complete with poems from forgotten years.
This void of image, crag of memory.
These landscapes connected
by a bridge over rivers of weekend clamor.
The lake weaves its haunted smile
as ice crawls upon the margin of cadence.12 0Decipher
Her eyes carry the map
To undiscovered worlds
Hidden inside her.
Her heart is brimming
With stories she never
Got to tell.
She is a child of mystery
And her verses unveil
Galaxies of wonder,
To those who dare to
Decipher.

Hold me close,
Till the ice in my veins
Is set aflame by your passion,
Whisper to me,
Sweet nothings till
I open my eyes and
Let them roam all over
Your gloriously resplendent form,
Kiss me deep,
For my famished heart
Must have its fill;
Caress me softly,
For what am I but a wounded
Wolf, wandering through
Wilderness for ages,
I have fluttered like hope,
Decayed into despair,
And waded through oceans
Of time, looking for you.
Now that I feel
Your breath upon my face,
I plead, I beg, I entreat you,
Trick forever into existing,
Can you make time stop?

umpisa na naman pala
nang lokal na kampanya
marami na naman ang sakin ay lalapit
at walang pakundangang magkakabit
nang mukha ng mga kandidato
na hindi ko naman gusto
kabisado ko na lahat ang apelyido
nang mga laging natakbo
nang mga nagpapalitan lang sa pwesto
at nang mga buwaya at trapo
meron ding kunyaring nagmamalasakit
sa gabi'y tinatanggal ang kinabit
nang kalaban nilang partido
sabay palit ng kanilang pambato
kaya tumigil na ako sa pagasa
hindi narin ako naniniwala
wala naman natupad sa kanilang mga pangako
napuno lang ako ng pako8 0Accept Yourself
When we think we lose ourselves
It's really we just are not accepting ourselves
Burning our biggest Allie, as we step through hell
You can never lose what is still there
Right in front our faces in the clear
Go look in a mirror, you will see that you are them
You were never lost, you've been here the whole time
It is time to accept ourselves, within our own mind
You do know who you are, maybe you just don't like it
I suggest you accept it, because that is how life is
©jd_poetry14 0 2Tongue
My daggered tongue
Which weighs weary
In this hollow cave of mine
Continuance of the Collapsing
My lost yet found soul
Whiten blocks of ivory
Barricade it's surroundings
If only a cavity of hope
Sickened it's lock jaws
Restraining my red weapon
Word making whip
Then & only then
May I find true inner peace
With no sinner seeds sown
For tomorrow's harvest
Brought to beckon
From todays lashings
