Ramadan Series 30
Here is goodbye to Ramadan and Alhamdulillah to Eid.
The Prophet(s) said: "Angels on the day of Eid stand at the alleys and paths and say, "rush to the Generous Lord who gives great blessings and forgives great sins".
In some Eids, Imam Ali (r.a) said, "This is Eid of the one, God has accepted his fasting and worships, and everyday in which God is not disobeyed is Eid".
Also, as narrated/authority of Anas Ibn Malik, Allah's Apostle never proceeded (for the prayer) on the Day of Eid-ul-Fitr unless he had eaten some dates.
And also narrated: The Prophet used to eat odd number of dates.
Do not forget the two recommended nafilah before Eid and obligated sending of blessing and gratitude to Allah SWT. Wearing nice clothes, smelling nice, exchanging greetings, visiting friends and family, and smiling beautifully.
May we meet the next Ramadan in good faith and health. Aameen.

Ramadan Series 29
Zakat occupies the third position of the fundamentals of Islam, the first being kalimatul shahada and the second which is prayer (salat). The word is derived from Zakd, which means it (a plant) grew. It also carries the sense of purification. And in the Qur'an and hadith, the word used for zakat is sadaqah which is derived from sidq (the truth).
The Prophet (on him be peace), specifically called the Ramadan Fast-Breaking Alms "Zakat" and the Qur'an says: And duly establish the Salah-Prayer and give the Zakat-Charity, (Suratul-Baqarah 2:110 and Suratul-Nisa' 4:77).
Ibn Umar narrated that: Allah's Apostle enjoined the payment if one Sa'i of dates or one Sa'i of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the Eid prayer, (Sahih Bukhari).
Zakat-ul-Fitr is to the month of Ramadan like the prostration of forgetfulness is to prayer. It makes up for the deficiencies in fasting just as the prostration makes up for deficiencies in prayer (as reported by An-Nawawi, said by Waki' ibn al-Jarrah).
Do not forget to pay your Zakat.

To anyone that needs to hear this...
I'm not here to pity you, I'm not here to give you some dumb speech saying life gets better, it will get easier. Because it won't. I am not here to tell you to get over it because someone else has it worse. That's a load of crap. I'm not here to give you some BS about how I know how you feel. Because I don't. I'm not going to tell you it's just ____, it's not that big a deal. Because it isn't just ____ , it's a big deal. I'm not going to give you a motivational poster with some dumb quote about life. I don't care about the stupid quotes. I'm not here to tell you you're perfect. because you're not. I'm not going to tell you the world is waiting for you. The world doesn't wait for anyone. I'm not going to tell you the future holds great things. I'm not a goddamn psychic. And I'm not here to tell you I feel your pain. Because I don't, and never will. I'm not being harsh, I'm just getting real. I'm telling the truth, as hard as it may be to hear. I'm not going to sugarcoat it or fluff it up with pretty little lies. I'm here to give you the stone cold, rock hard truth.
Call it tough love.
I don't know what you're going through, I never will. And I don't feel your pain, I never will. I will never understand your struggles. And that's too friggin bad. But guess what? I feel my pain. I have felt pain before, I have struggled before. I struggle everyday, and you know what? It sucks, it really sucks. The the world just keeps on spinning. So, what? Are you wondering this, or am I? I'm not here to give advice. I've felt pain, and it sucks. It hurts. It really hurts. And life is God damn hard. And it's not going to get any easier. And so, you have no clue what you're going to do? Where to go from here? Well, news flash. No one knows, sweet cheeks. We're all clueless. Why am I saying this? I thought it was obvious, do I need to spell it out? You're not alone idiot. And those who say get over it, or say others have it worse or just friggin stupid. First is relative, and since we can't read minds or swap bodies, they should just shut their mouths. That includes you.
So, where the hell am I going with this?
Life is God damn hard and it's not going to get any easier. No one is going to change the standard. And it's not fair. Life's not fair. And we have to deal with all the crap that throws at us day in and day out. And it's not fair. And I think it's high time we are rewarded for dealing with all the crap that life throws at us. Treat yourself, do something you enjoy. I don't care if you want ice cream in the middle of winter or hot chocolate in the middle of summer. Buy yourself a new pair of shoes, some CDs. I don't care, but do what you want. Because you deserve it. Hell, we all do.
Yo, I'm not done yet.
I'm not going to tell you you're perfect just the way you are. You're not. No one is perfect. I'm not going to tell you to always strive for better, do what you want. The thing with that is, society says you need to work harder, you need to do better. I don't know about you, but I've been working hard enough. All the sugar-coated lies say you're perfect. Like hell you are! Perfect implies you can't be better, that you don't need to be better, that you are better. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you need to be better, I'm saying stop saying that. Rather, you are in perfect just the way you are. Sorry if it hurts, it's the truth. Society's lies are so persistent. One of the biggest is sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt. What a load of crap! If someone says that to you, you are fully entitled to throw a dictionary at them. You want to be extra cruel, tell them to look up insensitive. Or tell them to look up stupid and say, "I'm pretty sure you're in there". Words are like bullets. And lies are like a Bittersweet toxin.
So, in conclusion?
Let's do an experiment. Examine the inside of your hand. What color is your blood? Red, you idiot. Now what about every other human? Now take the data and see if there are any similarities. Isn't it funny the way we all bleed red? When it comes down to the fundamentals, we are all the same. Does that surprise you? If it does, you are a total douche. If that hurt, good. I'm not here to tell you what you want to hear, I'm here to tell you what you need to hear.
