పెద్ద పాలవెల్లి కట్టేసి,
దాని నిండా బోలెడన్ని పళ్ళెట్టేసి,
ఉండ్రాళ్లు, కుడుములు అబ్బో తెగెట్టేసి
నీకు పూజలు చేసేసి, దన్నాలెట్టేసి, మొక్కేస్తున్నారని మురిసిపోయి
వాళ్ళడిగిన ప్రతిదానికి సరే అని తలూపి వరాలిచ్చేయకు
పండగొచ్చిందని పలకరించడమే కానీ,
రేపటి నుంచి ఒక్కరు కూడా నిన్ను పట్టించుకోరు,
మరో 364 రోజులు పస్తులుంచుతారు.
అందుకని నా మాటిని..
వాళ్ళు నీకు పెట్టిన పలహారాలన్నీ పట్టుకెల్పోయి
నచ్చినంత తిని హాయిగా పడుకోవయ్యా గణేషా!

श्रावण सरला मेघ बरसला तुझे आगमन झाले
ढोल ताशे टाळ मृदुंग सारे नाचत आले
दुर्वा हार अन रांगोळ्यांनी प्रतिष्ठापना केली
सायंकाळी आरतीला घरभर गर्दी झाली
पंगती बसल्या पुरणपोळीचा पहुंचारही झाला
मित्र मंडळी स्नेही व्याही भेटी गाठी झाल्या
दिवस सरले दाही
आता विसर्जनाची घाई
निरोप तुझा घेतो म्हणत डोळे भरून आले
भूकाळातील ह्या आठवणींचा मला फारच हेवा वाटतो
