I thought I'd quit it all,
And go somewhere to drown myself.
I thought if I'd live a little brighter,
Then I could bear it a little longer.
I thought if I'd love everyone a little more,
Then I'd be satisfied with it all - a little further.
However, I quit a little sooner,
I died a little sooner,
And I,
Left my honour for the unworthiness to grow a little more thinner.
As I woke up,
As I went to my bed;
All the anxiety that I felt,
Weighed heavier on the heart,
That never realized the love that I've known,
Was not the love I've known - altogether.
When I buried my face underneath the water,
As a witness to being a born again Christian,
I grew thorns all over my body like a wild rose,
Grown without sufficient water.
