What if the ground was light like feather
And the air heavy as lead
While laying on the floor would we then feel like we are in the clouds
While breathing the air would our body feel heavier
Forcing us back to the feather like groung
Or would we be in the air and birds on the ground

I once witnessed an alien spaceship
One night in the middle of a town feast;
A flying UFO with colorful lights;
Raised my head out of the blue, I saw it;
A kid saw it too—I wonder if some people did.
I dreamt of aliens a few times in my sleep—
Greys or whites and browns I recall;
White spaceships were invading the place—
Deflated balloons as they touched the ground;
While browns told me some things— I forgot.
There was also when I was in the moon;
It's like there's alien war and explosion;
And something's after me I guess;
I avoided it or did I pray and overcome?
Just one of the odd dreams, faint memories.
I have a T-shirt with alien and spaceship print;
When I was lost exploring in the darkness,
I was drawn to them because I felt the same;
Like an alien, an outcast, a loner, an odd one
Did I find harmony with their cold company.

Throw it into the air and let fly;

And the pilot disappear,
Ship and plane and such—
They lose control,

If I were a bird I wouldn't fly high,
I'd stay on the ground and stare at the sky.
Why? You ask, thinking that I'm crazy,
I promise I'm not, just been thinking lately.
It's hard to appreciate the sky when you fly,
And you only miss the water when the well runs dry.
I'd rather admire, and look from the ground,
To pay respect to sky, chirping beautiful sounds.
Yes if I were a bird, so light and so free,
I would nest in contentment and admire the sky's sweet serenity.

Stand Firm. Be Tall.
The tree so beautiful and elegant.
Standing firm and strong.
No matter how the wind pushes,
How cold and direct the wind presses up against the tree,
The tree will be firm.
Storms will wash through,
Battering and weakening the tree,
But it will not fall.
Thunder will clap by its ears,
Lightening will flash dangerously close.
The branches and limbs may bend or snap, but its core, its body stands tall.
The roots of the tree go deep.
They dive down into the Earth,
Twisting and turning all around.
The roots spreading through the ground like fires of a forest.
Roots that hold on tight when the wind comes around.
Roots that will not let the tree fall down.
The tree is nothing without the roots,
The tree could not stand without the roots.
Fruit of the tree would not grow without roots of the ground.
