We made love like turtles
In the garden
On a hot rock.
You were gentle
Though we weren't in love.
We were familiar
And enjoyed eachother's company.
In the morning,
I rolled over
And you were cold
And stiff.
Dead.
I was frightened I'd have to make my way alone now
But once the dust settled
I missed you.

I'm there for you
No one wanted to know what happened till the end.
Everyone blamed her. They cursed her for not being a women. They shattered her little confidence to become a mother again.
Her husband was standing right next to her. Her biggest moral support. He said nothing but just pressed her shoulders. A way of telling her "I'm there for you".11 0 1
Wedding Anniversary
She cooked a lavish meal for her husband. It was their anniversary today. She decorated the table with flowers and plates.
She waited and waited. Called him million times. No answer.
Midnight, he arrived in an ambulance with a smiling face. The driver gave her the box they found near his car.
It was another wedding ring. And a card. 'Will you marry me again"?

She was short and smart
He was tall and thin
He could hold her,
She could feel his heartbeats
He smiled each time she tried cooking.
She giggled when he struggled with those roti sticking on the rolling pin.
He fought with her when she'd ignore herself
She would scream when he'd miss his meals
They were the most imperfect couple surviving together, and life seems so perfect for them.

Our eyes met when I was feeling low,
As I recollect that day eons ago,
Oh! You made my face, heart and eyes glow,
Our love was for ever, little did I know.
There were many a test and trial,
Our relationship was far from ideal,
I wondered if our love was even for real,
Were we living a life of denial?
But we made our decision stick to each other,
Never did we let our arguments embitter,
Nor did we let our ego bluff or blur
our love and commitment to one another,
we successfully crossed all hurdles,
our troubles now look like mere bubbles,
we can now laugh at our quarrels,
that appear no more than mere squabbles!
Boundless love and loyalty,
Commitment and responsibility,
Every moment spent in sincerity,
