Long weeks since
my heart stopped bleeding
My sad girl vibes
Are starting to sound like a decade old tune
I understand its familiarity
But it's words no longer hold me

the rut
short of breath at six in the morning
and I haven't slept a lick since I did
sometime yesterday, or something
like that
in company of annoyed people,
we like to think up a half-ass
substance to justify why we kinda
don't like each other, I only came here
to relapse, tearing my veins up from up
under and out of my bloody skin
self destructive in most aspects,
if I'm not hurting than its hard to realize
that I'm even living
to find some sort of reason in this pain
I dug a hole, put up a door, and called
it home
I feel like myself whilst in the rut of stuff
an identity manifested via welts, bumps,
and bruises
dripping a trail behind me of reds and
blues.

shit happens
the ceiling always making sure
that whenever I happen to lose
my head, that I don't float away
and escape for good
not too fond of anything about
the present, I woke up to a bad
day already, and by 6am
I'm pacing in circles outside
forever hot and from the beginning
there's no avoiding these terms of
life that I at some point must have
agreed to. did I sign my soul away
with blood? or is dealing with life's
suffering merely a persistent
suggestion? would I have the back
bone to say no? or would I keep
doing what I have been all along
simply letting all of the bullshit
keep on happening?

in the process of distancing myself
as far as I can get from the edges
of the earth as it turns
I've lost any semblance of self within
the waters reflection more times than
I can count
living my life as if i don't care all too
much anymore, and it's because
I kind of don't
kicking up dust as I fall flat on my
back from standing up
