The other day -
I was sitting on the covering, accompanied by warm & fresh delights of the evening,
Getting into some typical problems of What If analysis on MS Excel...
I then heard a sudden call of thunder,
Gathering my stuff, I rushed down with a shudder,
However, I could just rush with my feet,
Without a mindful beat,
A thread of thoughts was constantly drewing me,
To hearken to the musings that often left me with no key,
The musings interrogated me -
Even we have a set of 'What If' problems. Would you like to interpret them too?
I got a span of still,
But called out the problems to gift them a fill...
.
.
The series started -
What If I die tonight leaving behind my best DP on WhatsApp?
What if the person who marooned me long ago, crosses me tomorrow with a tear in his eyes?
What if the friendship I believe in the most turns nothing but a sham?
What if the person I loved the most looks into my eyes and blurts out that he hated me the most?
What if the person who makes me hold my breath high be the reason I lose my breath?
What if my eyes get hypnotised and someone in them dies?
What if I die in the arms of whom I find solace in, the moment our breath gets entangled?
What if the pendulum stops oscillating and holds the world where it is?
What if a cold night keeps awaiting the warmth of the moon but the moon is not seen?
What if a fresh flower wilts even in abundant sunlight?
What if I spent whole of my life yearning for answers, but got them in a new bunch of questions?
What if my blood started drying, and I having no shoulder to cry?
What if I become able to survive without any meaning to my life?
What if I, myself bruise my power, love, lust n poetry?
What if I discover that all the poetries are nothing but the biggest lie?
What if my belief in the character flows just like blood?
What if the fire in my eyes could speak?
What if I could never repair my dry soul?
What if I'll be asked to make interpretations, but I would only reach to manipulations?

.
I then looked upon to my craggy musings,
They looked upon to me back with their heart wailing...
They exclaimed,
We wish! We wish, our life could also be made easy by some kind of Excel solver,
Running a statistical analysis and making interpretations has been made so easy,
We wish, technology gifts you a solver too to analyse and interpret our inner 'What If' problems too....

I then went back to my room,
And laid down asking my musings to swoon...

7:24 a.m. and my heart is beating out of my chest
I'm trying to find my purpose in life and I can't give my mind a rest.
There's always this pressure building up inside of me, I don't know how long I can go until it seeps all out if me.

Sabse pehle apne aap ko apni first priority banao
Apne aap pe daya Karna band Karo.....

Envisaging the End
Not everyone you started with,
will be with you at the end,
really makes you wonder,
if peace will really be found,
and will soulful hearts at least attend….
Someone once said a wonderful thing,
it’s certainly a tune you should sing,
We all have two lives,
and the second one starts,
when you realise you have only one….
You can only be kind so much,
people need to be cut off and such,
as opinions are formed without even getting in touch….
You hear em say bad stories about you,
society doesn’t care if they are false or true,
Though there was a time when you were good to those people,
and bonds were strong and shined as tall as high steeple,
But they’ll never speak about that,
how can they when it belittles em and make the lies squat….
So why have so much negativity around,
the crying needs to stop and tears need to be downed,
for there are always reasons to resonate laughter abound,
almost like a rainbow shining after a hailstorm nearly drowned….
So it really doesn’t matter if soulful hearts will attend,
peace can actually be found, if you remember,
not everyone you started with,
will be with you at the end….

आज फ़िर तेरी याद आयी है
जाने किस चीज़ के नशे से हम पे
ये बेखुदी सी छाई है

के तेरा रूठ जाना गलती से भी
गंवारा नहीं हुआ करता था हमें
अब तेरी शक्ल को भी ना देखूं कभी
ऐसी मेरी रुसवाई है
के आज फ़िर तेरी याद आयी है
वो दिन याद कर जब तूने बारिशों में, दिल की बातें मुझसे कही थी
वो मंजर याद कर जब तू मुझसे, लिपटकर उस दिन खूब रोया था
वो वक़्त याद कर जब मेरे दिन, तुझी से शुरू हुआ करते थे
वो लड़की याद कर जिसकी कभी, तू ज़िन्दगी हुआ करता था
तोड़ी हर उम्मीद तूने, और तन्हाई में मैं तड़पी थी
तुझसे कर लूं जुदाई, इतनी हिम्मत कहां मुझमें थी
पर अब नहीं रहा वो समा, ना रहा तू पहले जैसा
एक नई सी हवा चली है, ये नया आरम्भ कैसा
मेरे जैसी वफ़ा क्या कर पाएगा कोई तुझसे?
तुझसे बढ़ कर भी कभी, क्या कोई जान पाएगा तुझे?
तेरी आवाज़ पे ही चल दे जो, ऐसी कोई ला पाएगा?
जिसका प्यार तू हो, यार तू हो, बोल कहां से लाएगा?
किससे मिलने के बहाने अब गलियों के चक्कर तू लगाएगा
के अब तू ढूंढता रह जाएगा, पर मुझे फ़िर ना देख पाएगा
यूं तो रखा नहीं कुछ भी कहने-सुनने के लिए
ना ही दिल में तेरे वापस आने की आस मैंने जगाई है
पर जाने क्यूं हैं ये आंखें मेरी नम

Tum kaun ho,
khud se kabhi mut poochna,
Tum kaun ho,
Wo khade honge tayaar,
zehrile shabdo ki aayegi bauchaar,
poochenge tumse tumhari bisaat hokar nisaar,
ho sakta hai karna pade mazboori mei ikraar,
par na poochna khud se hokar lachaar,
Tum kaun ho....
Hate at times is too strong an emotion,
when disliking someone can just be a harmless notion,
moments feel like an eternity moving in slow motion,
but positivity should soak it all in like a soothing potion….
Tum kaun ho,
kaun ho tum,
Din bhar ki rannjish ke baad ghar ki dehleez se wapas muskaan rakhne wale wakta ho tum,
apno ke sapne unse pehle dekhne wale karta ho tum,
karke samna har mushkil ka, apno ko rakhte sajda ho tum,
Tum kaun ho,
kaun ho tum…..
Ye khel to hai abhi lambi der chalna,
aisi bani shristi ki ye anokhi rachna,
kisi ke hisse mei hai upar uthna,
kissi ke hisse mei aata hai neeche girna,
par sahas fir bhi nahi hai chodna
aur nahi kabhi bebas hokar hai khud se poochna,
Tum kaun ho, kaun ho tum.....

The Second Baby
They say it’s a wonderful feeling,
Dates get marked with excitement tingling,
Old memories and emotions begin rekindling,
also the 1st born’s cute arms will be outstretched to get all cuddly and embracing,
2 kids, wow!
Parents take your pick now, which one you’ll eventually be chasing......
Times certainly have been tough,
Husband would agree, for mood swings have been rough,
all the while keeping an eye out for even an ounce of cough,
and Covid beckoned he stay at home and dare not scoff....
The wife all the while looks absolutely radiant,
she scorns, why the world thinks my husband so is bloody obedient,
come and take a look his antics so resilient,
if only he could breathe a little less loudly, that would have been so brilliant......
But there also resides Gods little angel,
the first born brokers the peace as he/she is so able,
daddy can’t always show his shy innocent face,
he can sometimes at least hold mommy in an affectionate embrace,
and how forgets that I am the little version of him,
just throw in a little attitude and some wily grace.....
Alas, it’s the time to be happy,
in an otherwise year, which has all but been crappy,
we had to make do with so much, as things got scrappy,
and we sincerely hope that this time at least,
the mister will learn a thing or too about changing a nappy......
So in this moment of joy,
we shower all our love,
get all ecstatic and we roar,
for we christen you guys as the new Fantastic Four.....
