यू तेरा इतना मग़रूर हो जाना ठीक नही,
एक ही शख्स पर इतना गुमान करना भी ठीक नही।
ऐसे तो हमे भी दोस्त कहते हो तुम अपना,
ये हम भी जानते है सिर्फ कह लेने से कुछ होता नही।
मसला ये नही की वो इंसान अब मेरा नही,
मसला ये है उसके अलावा हम किसी के नही।
देर तलक रात भर तेरे साथ अपना हर ख्वाब बुना था,
गज़ब है यार अब उस किस्से मैं मेरा किरदार नही।
यकीन है मेरा वो तुमसे तुम्हारा हाल पूछेगा नही,
तब तुम यार उसपर अपने लफ्ज़ जाया करना नही।
इश्क़ में अगर वो तुम्हारी बेचैनी खामोशी ना जान सके,
तो मशवरा याद रखना उसके आगे अपना जज़्बा जाया करना नही।
जब कहीँ तुम्हारी मौजूदगी किसी को कांटो की तरहा चुभने लगे,
उसे बिना बताए चले जाना वहाँ ज्यादा देर रुकना नही।
जो वादे किये है उससे यार उनको पूरा करना,
उसकी तरहा तुम भी ज़िम्मेदारी से पीछे हटना नही।
या मेरे मोला मुझपर अपनी इतनी रहमत करना,
उसको भी मेरी तरहा ये ना लगे कभी हम सही इंसा से मिले नही।
सुनो या तो रक़ीब का साथ दो, या मेरी हो जाओ,
गणित नही जिन्दगी है ये जाना यहां त्रिकोण दशा ठीक नही।

क्या से क्या हो गये वो जो थे मेरे अपने देखते-देखते,
उनको अब हम मिले पहले जैसे ये तो मुमकिन नही।
जानकर सब हालात हमारी ये जो बहाना ना-समझ का करते हो,
तुम्हें हम सब कुछ बताये अब ये तो मुमकिन नही।
जल जो रहे हो तुम मगरूर-ए-रवैया की अगन में,
विन्रमता की हवा से भी ये तो बुझना मुमकिन नही।
लाख चहरे फेरना या देखकर के मुस्कुराना तुम जाना,
हमारा ठहर के तुम्हें ही देखना ये तो मुमकिन नही।
कौन-कहाँ-किधर-कैसे गया जाने दो तुम सबको,
हमारा अँगूठी में नग की तरहा कैद रहना तो मुमकिन नही।
सुणो राक़िब की ही पहनना तुम कगन-पायल-चूड़ियां,
मेरा तुम्हारे माथे की बिंदिया बनना ये तो मुमकिन नही।
दर्द में डुबाई है गज़ले यू ही मकहती रहेंगी उम्रभर,
हमारा तुमको सुनाना है जरूरी ये तो मुमकिन नही।
जिन अंधेरो में छोड़ा था तुमने उन्हें संभाल रखा है अपने उजालो में,
जाना वहां से पलट कर तुम्हारा आना यहाँ से पलटकर हमारा जाना ये तो मुमकिन नही।
