The intensity and depth differs from individual to individual, what works for one might just be a small step for the other. There cannot be a normal, a general formula to life. There's no rule book with a set of don't and do's, life didn't come with a set of instructions or a manual for us to follow.
What might be your loss is another man's profit. What's your idea of love can be unchartered territory for another. Trying to dissolve sugar in a glass of water at different temperatures would also result in different time, and then we've chemistry which taught us all about exceptions, oh! the beautiful exceptions we accept with two hands and a whole heart.
Keep meeting people, keep nodding to whatever it is they think is the best for you but at the end it is you who has to live with your own self so have trust, take that leap of faith if you want to, walk that extra mile if you have to, go on the adventurous, exciting, pumped with adrenaline filled trip anyway, keep escaping your reality until you're ready.
Life is about constantly evolving, changing, identifying what works for you the best and for that you need to be open, you can't resist, go negative or be sore. You need to learn, unlearn and re learn. You have to be a fool to see it all and to still dive in, give it your all because there'll be another experience waiting for you to live, even though it may result in a heartbreak, shattering you into pieces, pick them up anyway and start from the start.. be a fool.
So this new year instead of having so many resolutions shaped around the idea of this world on how to be a perfect human, choose you, love yourself, be yourself and keep working on your betterment.
After a while you learn, Learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul.
And You learn that love doesn't mean leaning
And company doesn't mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts And presents aren't promises, And you begin to accept your defeats With your head up and your eyes open
And you learn to build all your roads on today Because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans And futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. After a while you learn... That even sunshine burns if you get too much.
So you plant your garden and decorate your own soul, Instead of waiting for someone to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure... That you really are strong And you really do have worth... And you learn and learn...
