Living life like a novel it is

You read a novel with spice in it,
You crave for drama and something to happen.
Cause babe you know,
That it's the plot twists that makes the story worthwhile.
So why don't we try and redeem the same for our lives.
Why not see all the bad things as those dramatic chapters which clinch us to the novel,
Why not wait for all the happiness that follows those chapters.
Cause at the end we know that for something extremely good to happen something remotely bad is existential.

People blame my bad luck on whatever went wrong in my life,

My e-mail box remained stubbornly empty, Still no answer from the Friend I’d written to. I check my voicemail. I had left messages for several people, but none had responded yet.
I was struggling with a tough decision and desperately wanted a friends perspective. I'd reached out—through a variety of technologies. Everyone I sought out was busy or not home or didn't have time to answer. For days, I felt that my request for help, insights and just plain friendship had disappeared into a black hole. I didn't like the feeling of sharing, asking and opening myself up and getting no response.
But the hard truth is sometimes that the response I long for does come. Friends forget to return a call or put off answering an e-mail. Children don't remember to reach out, and the longed for Mother's Day card may not come. A spouse may be distracted by a phone call from work in the middle of a moment of heartfelt sharing.
What a profound gift God offers us when He promises to always be attentive to us and to respond. The Almighty God of the universe cares deeply and intimately for us, and when we call out to Him, He's never too busy. Not only that, but His response isn't a generic word of comfort or encouragement. He responds to us in unique ways, tailored for our specific situation.
Lord, I'm so grateful that You long to hear from me and respond with such tenderness to each problem I bring You. Remind me to turn to You when I feel alone. —SHARON HINCK

I’d just checked into a small guesthouse in Chicago, where I was attending a retreat and was eager to catch my first-ever glimpse of Lake Michigan. Impulsively, I set out on my own, knowing I had to get back soon. It was an easy five-block walk, and there was the lake stretching far as the eye could see.
On my way back to the retreat center, I saw what I took to be a parallel street to mine. For a while I enjoyed the scenery, counting the blocks that, in my mind, would connect with the street I wanted. But when 1 turned left, I couldn't find it. I turned this way and that, and in and confusion, I couldn't remember the address of the guesthouse. I had no purse, no money, no identification. Exhausted and fighting tears, 1 sat on a bench. "Lord, help me," I prayed.
Go back to the lake, I plainly heard.
But I must be miles away, I thought.
And yet, when I asked someone how to get to Lake Michigan, she told me I was very close. "These streets can be disorienting," she said.
Sure enough, I followed her directions and was soon at the lake. A short block away was the street from which I'd come. I walked to the end of the pier. Waves slapped; fish jumped; sailboats glided. Thank You for bringing me back, I whispered.
Just minutes ago I'd felt hopelessly lost. But here, in the immensity of sky and water, surrounded by the largesse of the Creator, I felt the security of knowing that no matter how far I roam, I could never be lost from God,

Recently I realized a big mistake I made was to cut off contacts with old friends and people, in order to build new relationships.Losing touch with people (other than family) who have seen my journey and who had known me for years so well, who know me who I am and why I am the way I am, made me forget my self worth. I thought I have to be devoted to the new relationship for it to work. But that is completely opposite of what a good relationship is. If a relationship demands forgetting your own individuality then it fails there itself. You need to know and remain who you are and it's usually reminded by the ones who stood up for you, who never left, who saw you fail and get back up, who witnessed what you went through and your worth, helped you no matter how caught up they were and cared about you. So today, pick up a phone or text or email and don't hesitate to contact someone who mattered. To give you a boost, I unblocked almost 38 people who I thought, my current relationship might have issues if I continued to be in touch. And there they were still present as if I never left. Most of them asked no questions. They simply got happy to have their person back in touch and most of them's reaction was, "Its ok, life happens!".

Sometimes it's ok to let our guard down,
Sometimes it's ok to shout, cry or frown...

In order to help the soul retain its glow...

Sometimes it's ok being our true self,
Letting our dreams n hopes replenish n develop....

Sometimes it's ok to open our heart to random ppl when our peace n happiness is in danger,
For every friend we made was once upon a time nothing more than just a stranger ...

Sometimes it's ok to forgive or forget ,
Rather than losing our peace in anger or regret....

Sometimes it's ok to question when in doubt,
Rather than letting the weeds of misunderstandings sprout....

Sometimes it's ok to show our vulnerable side,
Letting others have a glimpse of our true life....

Sometimes it's ok to ask for help,
Letting others protect us while we heal and develop....

Sometimes it's ok to let others stand by our side,
Letting them be our support n guide through life's high n low tide ....

Sometimes it's ok letting others help n support us in our fight,
Sharing our heavy loads with others helps ease the travel ride of our life ....

Sometimes it's ok to say our heart to remain of sane mind ,
Keeping our feelings n thoughts repressed inside heart will only make us go crazy with time .....

Sometimes it's ok to act selfish and not empathic or kind,
Once a while we should let our heart n feelings be ruled over by wisdom of our mind....

Sometimes it's ok to trust and put our doubts of being let down to test,
Facing our fears and hoping for the best....

Sometimes it's ok to chase our dreams,
Ignoring our failures believing we are destined to win ....

Sometimes it's ok let our self b pampered,
Bcoz there's lot evil in life that has already made our happiness hampered......

Sometimes it's ok to choose a wrong over a right ,
Mistakes makes us human and learning from them makes us wise ....

No one can be perfect always even after endless try,
It's ok, not to be ok and once in a while it's ok to cry

The diary knows it all

11.30 am

As the devil's favorite year, 2020, ended, so did my inhibitions. Those pent up emotions, frustrations, vulnerabilities, failures and zillion reasons of life going haywire seem to pass away suddenly. It's strange, how much I had changed during the lockdown.

I re started my affair with the lost pen, which had started decades ago as my one-sided affair wasn't heading anywhere. I would peep out of window, stealthily soaking into my crush's Sunny Vibes. Then having satiated my soul, I would scribble random thoughts and poetry in my diary.

And one winter morning, he just left the neighborhood. With his absence everything changed overnight. I stopped writing. The winter lasted through a decade, marred with self doubt and insecurities with me leading a purposeless life.

I healed eventually, but after almost touching the tipping point and scarring my soul for a lifetime.

Family matters. My folks held steadfastly to my wreaked up soul, preventing it from getting perished away in the sunami of life. And then it dawned upon me, that there are many manifestations of love - parental love, sibling bonds, friendly warmth and so on and so forth. But the most underrated one that I failed to nurture was, self love.

Love yourself, build yourself. As mother had advised.

Those long quarantine days in the year 2020 were introspective. I learnt to let go of my insecurities, whatever little were left behind in the far corner of my bandaged soul. And most importantly, I started writing again.

As we are seemingly heading towards another lockdown, loneliness doesn't bother me any longer. It doesn't make me shrink into oblivion. Through words, I am trying to reclaim my life.

I have found myself. At last.

I do not have have many words today. As I feel a bit strange. Everything in me is increasing. All the emotions tangled up and fleeing, as I catch none. Is this why am feeling numb? But I am laughing and loving? Yet, I do not feel that emotion. It went missing. The fear did takeover, as I tried hard to hide, it crept up on me like a leech, a climber?

Do you want to escape?
The truth the lies
The love, the fights?
the heat which is tempting
The feeling that ignites?

Do want to escape?
The heartbeat, the hopes
The emotions that you hold?
Discovering yourself
or doing what you were told?

Do you want to escape?
The ties, the competition
The boundaries in expression?
For what I was asked
I have not been that
For what you have become
Is nowhere near that.

Do you what to escape?
The mind, the soul
Even the brain's unaware of your goal
Will all the wishes come true?
Is there an everlasting glue?
To stick close the parted ones
A spell?! To bring back the departed ones?

Do you want to escape?
To the Kindness, the freedom
To be true, to be warm
With no regrets around
Standing strong on your ground

Do you want to escape?
As it was never "just"
So you want to ask
Will there be bond?
When there won't be broken trust?

For what I found,
After all around
Was me staring at the sky,
Longing for the ocean,
Stagnant, alone on the ground...

Introspection of oneself is as important as that of a situation. We never know if we're were just or unfair? Cowardice or strong?
I have no idea if I have treated the people in my life fairly. I guess, I'll never come to understand how precious relationships can be. But I try. I have tried and I am gonna continue to do so. But for a few. Not everyone deserves a piece of your heartfelt sincerity. Though, everyone deserves your righteousness and kindness. But do not lose yourself. Be kind to yourself. Encourage yourself to take a step towards your loved ones. Not everyone will wait on your door, not everyone will wave through your window, in anticipation of your response.

Searching for the light
In a dark, silent night
The moon, that looked so dull
The stars were not bright

I gaze at them wondering,
If it was you glancing back
The atmosphere was full
But i just stared
Losing you from my sight

I wept within, my soul cried
Too strong to show tears
Could not just love
Upholding my Ego and Pride

I remember... I remember it all...
The words of Keats
But your voice,
Your kiss and Oh! that touch,
Tender like a feathers flight

I recall your tears
And your beautiful eyes
Wanting to be with me
Even after an unfair fight

It's different.. You that I thought, you could be. I, who I thought I knew. But I didn't. I didn't have the time to. But even if I did have, I changed like tides or as small as the atom, smaller is the electron. It is me, who liked your laugh and it is me who doesn't like your jokes anymore.
