Desperation in the hardest of times

The urgency to collect those back
So I can be back on track.

A nation ever so divided
In a world where we feel alone together
The stories keep getting messier and messier
The bickering and fighting never cease
Loyal opposition in which we feast.
And Jesus is often focused on the least
Help this world as it Cries its dull roar.

In a heap of Nature.
I can hear the Lions roar inside my disturbed mind. A sun rises among the silence of the forest. Dry leaves fallen, stained by my bed side.
I lay among the mammals of might. They guide my journey way through the dark moonlight.

I, the King have become, all rag and bones
Independence is rare for me
I pace about in anger and hunger
As people come to the zoo to see
My mane is full of dirt and dust
Never it is combed and kept clean
My cubs are born in bondage here
The humans are rather mean.
I cannot run about in a chase
My feet have become weak and thin
The left over food, they feed me with
Is thrown away in a bin.
Children and adults who visit me here
Poke fun at me, at my cost
They know that I cannot attack them ever
Forever to the jungle, I am lost.
Yes, I am trapped in the zoo here
Can you take me back to my home ?
The forest was so dear to me
As it was there, that I did roam.
Lions are born to be free in the jungle
They are supposed to live free there
Born in chains, they lose their will
To live, love and care.

Blessed!
Blessed was every breath heaving from their chests,
as they rushed towards the battlefield..
The glimmering of their swords
outshone the moon,
put the stars to shame..
They raged like storms,
and fought like Lions..
Oh how praiseworthy
was every drop of blood
that fell from their bodies
as they breathed their last..
How I envy the pride of the grounds
that caught their blessed bodies
and carried them where they lay..
For,
every beat of their hearts,
every thought in their minds,
and every bit of their selves
was ready to raise mountains..
For their beloved.. The Chosen One.
