This poem is dedicated to a boy in my past. In primary school I was bullied by my peers and even a teacher or two. By grade 7 I had started to feel like a teenager ealier than expected and had thoughts along the line of does anything even matter. He stood up for me when things were getting worse and he told them to stop hurting me or it'll be them hurting next by him. Finally I had half a year of peace and part of me always wants to find him again but I never got his contact.Boy of my past
At random times
Throughout my life
You enter my mind
Appearing out of nowhere
You're stuck like glue
And love is it's hue
Eachtime my mind takes a trip
Right down memory lane
To see your smile once more
To here that voice yet again
For a place to me a warground
Where threats and insults
Plauged my existence
Where hatred and mistreatment
Pained me to give up
To feel nothing
To feel empty
You stood up
You threatened their heads
In exchange for my protection
And I have never forgotten

Read MoreThe Hindus of the Kashmir Valley, a large majority of whom were Kashmiri Pandits, were forced to flee the Kashmir valley as a result of terrorism, on or after 20 January 1990. Of the approximately 160,000–170,000 Pandits living in the Kashmir Valley in 1990,only 4,000–5,000 remain there.
According to Indian government, more than 60,000 families are registered as Kashmiri refugees including some Sikh and Ahmedi and Shia families. Most families were resettled in Jammu, National Capital Region surrounding Delhi and other neighbouring states. In 2016, only 2,764 Kashmiri Hindus were left in Kashmir Valley.
This massacre was cause by the radical islamist ideology that the kashmiri muslims started to harbour.Women were raped and killed, men were murdered and even little kids were not spared.
Some Kashmiris today like to play the victim card but in reality the real kashmiris are living in exodus far away from their paternal land. The name kashmir itself has been derived from Rishi Kashyap who did rigorous meditation in the valley.
The only way that Kashmir would retain its past glory is by choosing books over guns. Sufism over wahabism and Love over hate.
What justice is this that someone has to live like a refugee in their own country. We saw protests in azad maidan mumbai by so many sympathizers who even vandalized the Amar Jawan Shahid Smarak for their sympathy towands Rohingyas. Do they have the guts to stage the same protest against the radical elements in kashmir?
The return of Pandits is only a pipedream if they are not provided safe havens from the butchers who made them flee. A panun kashmir is must.
