Christmas ko teen din ho chuke,;
New year mein bhi teen din baaki Hai,;
Koi aage ki planning mein dooba Hai,
Aur kisi ka hangover hi baaki Hai.
Tum toh karo celebrate,
Hum yaha khud ke sathi hai,
Iss saal peene ke liye jaam aur hasne ke liye sathi nhi,
Par ek soch Hai ki agle saal ek mug coffee se hi pyaas bhujani nhi.
Yeh saal bhi yaad rahega sada,
Kyuki pehli baar ki Hai kismat ne itni khafa,
Jo bhi hua theek hi hoga,

वादों का कारवां
हमने सोचा इस नए साल में सोचना छोड़ दें,
लोगों की दलीलों के समन्दर में,
अपने वजूद की कश्ती को डुबोना छोड़ दें...
हर साल हज़ारों ख्वाहिशें पालते हैं,
इस साल दो चार ख़्वाहिशों को ही पाल पोस कर जवान बनाएं,
पता नहीं किस बड़ी खुशी की तलाश में मारे मारे फिरते हैं,
चलो इस साल छोटी छोटी खुशियाँ ही ढूँढकर लाएं...
बहुत रो लिए पिछले साल,
चलो इस साल हँसी के ठहाके ही लगाएं,
और दूसरों को भी जीने का फ़लसफ़ा समझाएं...
हर साल ज़िन्दगी कुछ रुक रुककर चलती है,
क्यूँ ना इस साल ज़िन्दगी की गाड़ी ज़रा तेज़ चलाएं..
कुछ काम जो अधूरे छोड़ दिये थे पिछले साल,
चलो इस साल उन्हें अपने अंजाम तक पहुँचायें...
ख्वाबों की तश्तरी में तो हर साल उड़ते हैं,
इस साल क्यूँ ना उसमें चाँद को बिठाकर लाएं..
पिछले साल जो गलतियाँ की थीं,
उन्हें इस साल दोबारा ना दोहराएं...
अब जो वादों और इरादों के कारवाँ में सवार होकर निकल पड़े हैं,
तो चलो उसे साल के आखिर तक लेके जाएं...

New Year Resolutions
This New Year make resolutions. But do make some which involves the people around around you, the atmosphere that surrounds us, the plants we thrive on, the animals the pets on whose places we are living onto, the resources we are exploiting, the future generations who are yet to the beauty of this world.
You don't need to be self centric always. World will be a better place if you start thinking about yourself but others.

New Year!
I love the passion people have for everything new, especially for New Year, but what if I don't want to be new for the New Year?! I will be new when or if the time comes, or when I will feel like it. Or when life wants me to be.
I would like to experience life as it comes to me, I don't want to set any pre-determined goals just because I am supposed to do it. Maybe it is reverse psychology that always takes me against the current, but I feel perfectly fine about it, and would like to celebrate my imperfect perfection.
I am the one who goes to places and feels lost in the transition of time, falls in love like it never saw a heartbreak and falls out of love like it was never there, opens bank accounts that are never needed, files ITR and still feels mature about the savings and regrets overspending- alas orders something to get over the depression of overspending. I am the one who makes greatest friends and over expects from them like an old school person that I am- all this, while leaving a significant mark on a lot of people. And then leaving them if they are not significant enough to lead a progressive life. I am the one who writes heartfelt poetries while forgetting the simplest of meanings and spellings... remembers the minutest of details about people's life and forgets what I was doing in the kitchen. The one who has the sharpest eyes, but the warmest heart, judges strangers and loves the same things about her friends... needs to feel everything deep into her heart like a 40-year-old, but escapes through some tough questions asked by her mother like a 10-year-old. The one who wants to be with people and then suddenly wants to be alone in her own bed, underneath her warm blanket. Who wants to learn so much and needs to unlearn so much. The one to keep the innocence deep in her heart in this world of cruelty, but is pretty passionately aggressive as well, works too much and forgets the world, and travels a lot to forget the whole existence. Who raises a voice for herself, and people, and maybe a few bulldogs. The one who becomes something or maybe gets lost into an abyss of nothingness, and celebrates the imperfect perfection, every year.
