Ramadan Series 30
Here is goodbye to Ramadan and Alhamdulillah to Eid.
The Prophet(s) said: "Angels on the day of Eid stand at the alleys and paths and say, "rush to the Generous Lord who gives great blessings and forgives great sins".
In some Eids, Imam Ali (r.a) said, "This is Eid of the one, God has accepted his fasting and worships, and everyday in which God is not disobeyed is Eid".
Also, as narrated/authority of Anas Ibn Malik, Allah's Apostle never proceeded (for the prayer) on the Day of Eid-ul-Fitr unless he had eaten some dates.
And also narrated: The Prophet used to eat odd number of dates.
Do not forget the two recommended nafilah before Eid and obligated sending of blessing and gratitude to Allah SWT. Wearing nice clothes, smelling nice, exchanging greetings, visiting friends and family, and smiling beautifully.
May we meet the next Ramadan in good faith and health. Aameen.

Ramadan Series 29
Zakat occupies the third position of the fundamentals of Islam, the first being kalimatul shahada and the second which is prayer (salat). The word is derived from Zakd, which means it (a plant) grew. It also carries the sense of purification. And in the Qur'an and hadith, the word used for zakat is sadaqah which is derived from sidq (the truth).
The Prophet (on him be peace), specifically called the Ramadan Fast-Breaking Alms "Zakat" and the Qur'an says: And duly establish the Salah-Prayer and give the Zakat-Charity, (Suratul-Baqarah 2:110 and Suratul-Nisa' 4:77).
Ibn Umar narrated that: Allah's Apostle enjoined the payment if one Sa'i of dates or one Sa'i of barley as Zakat-ul-Fitr on every Muslim slave or free, male or female, young or old, and he ordered that it be paid before the people went out to offer the Eid prayer, (Sahih Bukhari).
Zakat-ul-Fitr is to the month of Ramadan like the prostration of forgetfulness is to prayer. It makes up for the deficiencies in fasting just as the prostration makes up for deficiencies in prayer (as reported by An-Nawawi, said by Waki' ibn al-Jarrah).
Do not forget to pay your Zakat.

Ramadan Series 28
Ramadan is about to leave, and none of us know if this will be out last or if we still have some more to witness.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever fasts Ramadan and follows it with six days from Shawwal, it is as if they fasted the entire year", (Muslim).
In another hadith, the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever fasts Ramadan and then six days after Eid, it is an entire year. Whoever does a good deed shall have ten times its reward", (Ibn Majah).
So here is to one who wants to quench the burning flame of the thirst of reward. You can satiate it by sprinkling it with six days from Shawwal. But do not forget to repay your missed fasts.
May Allah SWT make it easy for us all. Aameen.

ढल गया था सूरज एक दिन, सोचा न था कि फिर कभी उगेगा,हवाओं ने भी अपना रास्ता मोड़ लिया था।।
नजाने कब- किस तरह वो आकर मिल गयी, और मेरे अंदर तुम्हारे लिए फिर स्नेह छोड़ गयी।।
मन को बड़ा समझाया, बड़ा बहलाया, किसी और पर मन लगाया।।
फिर समझ में आया तारें तो बहुत हैं आसमान में पर चाँद तो एक ही है ना।।

One Year
It’s been a full year since they took my choice from me.
One year since my final battered string snapped.
One year since I lost all my hope, and my trust;
My light and my senses,
My fight, and...
Myself.
Though my body tried to tell me this day was approaching,
I was afraid... and pretended not to notice its warning.
Of course it didn’t work!
Of course it made things worse!
My anxiety rose,
My panic won out.
I sat in my car, all my calls dropping.
I fumbled about before letting it all drown me.
I shook, and I sobbed-
While gasping for air.
I searched and I wondered what my life had in store.
Then I drove down the freeway, and pondered it all.
Aware of my speed,
And the wind blowing through my hair.
My music was blaring, and my mind finally clear!
I thought back, over this last horrid year.
I thought of my fog, and of my lack of fear.
I remembered my plummet,
And the place I had landed was all too clear.
I remembered even hell seemed better than this!
And just how close I was to taking that trip.
Then I took a deep breath,
And went even further.
And that’s when I realized:
IT’S ONLY BEEN! ONE! YEAR!
In the span of a year,
My whole outlook has changed.
In the span of ONE YEAR!
I’ve beaten so much pain!
My life fell apart! I’d lost so many things!
Only eight months ago! I almost ended!
...
Everything.
And yet...
I’m still here...
My heart... is still beating.
My lungs... still filling with air...
My life is... Improving!
My strength... Is still here!
Twelve months ago I started getting help for the pain they had caused.
Months after that, I was still in that fog.
The time there is blurry, mingled, and meshed;
But one thing is clear:
It’s a fucking year later!
AND BITCHES! I’m still fucking here!
Yes! Today’s been painful!
Yes! It’s been a Hell of a year!
But looking back again!
I’ve realized just how strong and powerful I really am!
I’ve battled countless demons!
I’ve fallen to multiple monster’s hands and way too many fears!
I may have lost my footing and traveled past all solid ground.
I’d been consumed by flames for so long, I’d nothing left to burn.
Without fully realizing, I finally just...
Let go.
The fire consumed me, and... somehow-
I took back control...
I may have fallen in many battles, I may have lost countless fights;
But I’ve emerged from my ashes, and consumed my own flames!
I’ve beaten more armies; I’ve won countless wars!
My enemies are retreating! Terrified of the warrior they ensured was reborn!

आज से ठीक एक साल पहले, सकुचाते घबराते, अपनी कविताओं को youtube पर videos के रूप में लाने का फैसला लिया था.. मेरा हमेशा से मानना रहा कि कविताएं मन के किसी गहरे कोने से उभरती हैं.. और पढ़ने और सुनने के दौरान पाठक और श्रोता के मन पर ही अंकित हो जाया करती हैं.. सो देर सबेर इन कविताओं को पन्नों से उबरकर सबके बीच आना ही था, इसी की पहली कोशिश की "मेरे शब्द मेरे साथ" में, अपने youtube channel पर...
बात से बात बढ़ी, viewers का बहुत अच्छा रिस्पॉन्स मिला.. और मैंने इस चैनल पर अपने प्रिय कवियों की रचनाओं को भी सम्मिलित कर लिया, आखिर पठन के बिना लेखन तो अधूरा ही ठहरा...
और फिर फैसला लिया, जो भी खुद समझा, सीखा, उसे साथियों के साथ बांटने का.. इस श्रृंखला में "लेखन की शुरुआत कैसे करें", मेरा पहला क्रिएटिव राइटिंग वीडियो रहा और बहुत ही सफल भी.. ऐसा नहीं कि बहुत कुछ जानती हूं, पर हां, ये ज़रूर मानती हूं कि किसी भी क्षेत्र में शुरुआती दौर में कदम रखते हुए, हम सबको किसी ऐसे की तलाश होती है, जो उन रास्तों से गुज़र चुका हो, अपने अनुभव हमसे बांट सकता हो..
तो बस यही किया, अपने मन की बात, खामियां, खूबियां, आप सबके साथ बांटी.. और बदले में ढेर सारा प्यार और दुआएं बटोरी..
