    I find joy
    In a ball of feathers
    Grass green, corn yellow
Pumpkin orange, blueberry blue, twilight purple and pearl white.
    A colorful conglomerate of
Fluff, arranged in miraculous order, laying just right, one feather overlapping the other and so on.
And this all works...as she takes flight and speeds above my head in a zip and flash.
She nestles into my cheeks at night, as she has done for all her life. 2 years now, she has showered me with a love and affection I have never known before. She gives me motivation to rise each morning; chopping vegetables and fruits, tending sprouts for her to enjoy.
She is so delicate and tiny. This creature with a huge soul. Compassionate when I need it, and knowing me when my emotions shift. She nestles closer, kisses my nose, with her curving pearly beak. She knows how to tear flesh with it, but never on purpose. She skims my eyebrow, preening me, moves into the hollow of my eye and with such discernment, gently preens my eyelashes. And there is a trust never spoken. We have no language but feelings. And that way we understand. She knows I would never harm her. I know she won't hurt me. She learned to say "I love you" first. A gravely tone only other Conure bird owners learn to recognize. She learned it first and says it often, knowing context and not just mimicking. She learned it first because I say it more than anything else. A pure expression I cannot contain. I could write more, but she is waking up, and I must not fail her. I sing her a morning song as I open her home up, parting her night curtains to let her get used to the daylight. Bring her to the window, examine our day, pointing out things like a blue sky, yellow sun, real clouds, wind and the tiny birds outside. She fluffs up shaking slumber off. She gets excited for the yellow bell pepper seeds i let her pick out from a halved one. Her tiny head getting lost in the pepper, as little growls of joy escape her.
She is my joy. My absolute bliss. I love my little JelliBean.
Let us start each day together, forevermore.

    #Raven #Swan #Parrot #Peacock #Beauty #Essence #theblackstag

A tale of a raven in a forest so dark
He sat upon a tree with a big and wide bark
Sad was he, with the image of himself
For he couldn't bear the ugly look at self

Saw he, all the day, the beauty of the swan
Felt he all the way, it's elegance at dawn
Asked he, the swan, if she is the lovely creature
But she denied the claim, she felt devoid of feature

Smitten she was, with the parrot so colourful
Envious she was, with its spectrum so beautiful
She claimed the parrot to be the creature of beauty
The raven agreed and flew to fulfill his duty

He found the parrot, on a tall tree so dense
Went he, to parrot, seeking his beauty and essence
He praised the parrot for his beauty with colours
But parrot chose peacock to be the bird of wonders

Flew he once more to seek the beautiful creature
Resolute with his aim, to find the bird of feature
He found a peacock in a zoo with his feathers
Spread like a flower, with eyes craving pleasures

Asked he, to peacock, if he is the bird of wonders
Searched he all along, to see his beautiful feathers
Said the peacock, with his burning wounds of pain
Beautiful he is indeed, with his entire life in vain

Entrapped in a zoo with his feathers green and blue
He is the bird of beauty, his visscitude to be true
Caught from the forest, for the beauty he beholds
He is the sight of zoo with an image that he molds

Flew the raven, with a lesson learnt that day
His hunt for beauty, taught him of the nature today
He longed for the beauty, he never acquired
For the sad story of peacock, got him inspired

Similar to the raven, we seek beauty in wonders
But little do we know, the nature, with our blunders
Unique in creation, blessed with every essence
We all have the beauty, divine with its presence

    She stared, He stared.

    She stared in his eyes,
As if no other bird flies,
    Blue skies;
    He stared in too,
    He felt that too;
    Both had food, and shelter,
    No greed it was;
But that makes a doubt to me,
'Cause humans(not all) love for mon-e(money).

This is my submission for the wonderful #birdlove challenge hosted by @tejasveenagar, whom I'd like to thank very much for this opportunity, because I'm a longtime admirer of birds.

For the purposes of the challenge, members were asked to cultivate social awareness regarding the importance of saving our fine feathered friends' dwindling habitats. As always, thank you for reading.

    Oh cherubs of the skies
    Adorned with feathered wings
    So gracefully they fly!
    So beautifully they sing!

    They greet us every morning
    With birdsong while in flight
    And while adorning every tree
They seek shelter from the night

I'd tell you of the glory
    Of the American Bald Eagle
A white tailed bird of prey
    Who truly is so regal

Oh perhaps you'd like to hear
    Of the Indian Peafowl
The male is such a beauty
That he makes the ladies howl!

And methinks you'll want to know
    About the birdies of Australia
I should like to name them all
But there's so many, I might fail ya!

    A favorite that I'll mention
    Is a lovely passerine
    He's called the Fairywren
And he's the bluest bird I've seen!

I've spied a Warbler in the mountains
And a Sparrow in the prairie
But the Parrot in the jungle
    Is truly legendary!

They add color to our lives
    And music to our ears
    So please protect their homes
And they'll remain throughout the years.

    To my total dismay
The thoughts of you molds my heart like clay
Thinking about you day to day
You are the one I desire that's all I can say

    Pls be my heart
The mention of your name makes it stand alert
My cravings for you makes my feelings to part
I'll love you, but how to show my love, I don't even know where to start
    You are perfect art!
    You have a perfect heart!
My heart is right! For it always points to you like dart
My love for you can't be quenched, that's a fact
I love you to the brim, and like Romeo and Juliet shall we act

A burglar broke into a house one night. He shone his flashlight around, looking for valuables, and when he picked up a CD player to place in his sack, a strange, disembodied voice echoed from the dark saying, "Jesus is watching you."

He nearly jumped out of his skin, clicked his flashlight off and froze. When he heard nothing more after a bit, he shook his head, promised himself a vacation after the next big score, then clicked the light back on and began searching more valuables. Just as he pulled the stereo out so he could disconnect the wires, clear as a bell he heard, "Jesus is watching you." Totally rattled, he shone his light around frantically, looking for the source of the voice.

Finally, in the corner of the room, his flashlight beam came to rest on a parrot.

"Did you say that?" He hissed at the parrot.

"Yes," the parrot confessed, then squawked, "I'm just trying to warn you." The burglar relaxed. "Warn me, huh? Who do you think you are any way?"

     "Moses," Replied the bird.

     "Moses" the burglar laughed.

"What kind of stupid people would name a parrot 'Moses'?"

The bird promptly answered: "The same kind of people that would name a Rottweiler 'Jesus'!"

    Waiting was at last over
    When I saw her again.

She called my name repeatedly in her fluted voice while shaking her head with joy.

Birds can also be your friend.

    Pirate Purple Beard

    Pirate Purple Beard,
    Sailing your strange looking ship
That you sail on rocky waves
    As you stand
With your perfectly paired socks of gold,
    Dug from a rare treasure.
With your sharp sense of smell
stinky scents you sniff with a sigh.
And Sparky the parrot smiling so high.
With a hook for a hand, the other compensates with the artistic expressions it creates.
Your strange taste for vinegar soaked ginger and liking to donuts,
Your hidden treasure chest with a heart lock in place,
So deeply hidden to hide what's under your face,
    Your sky pointed eyebrows,
    Your scars and broken bones
    from fighting monsters and pirates
    Like Davy Jones.
All these are what make you
    One of a kind,
    purple bearded

    My heart says....

    My heart says....
    Love to the fullest
    Love like the brightest
Love me as if I'll fly
    Love me near the sky
Love to the parrot as he repeat my words
Love me when I mix in the herd
Love me when I do your mathematical sum
Love me till your success come....
