A fortunately fictional submission to the #cees_greet_chall, hosted on my other account. Thank you for reading!

    CLANDESTINE GREETINGS
    by Carolyn Glackin
    A clandestine greeting
    Well beyond closed doors
    Led to a lifetime
    I soon grew to abhor

    In a bright gilded cage
That at first, seemed like bliss
Lo! I should have looked closer
    Alas, I was remiss!

    What a shyster was he!
    So deceitful and cunning
Had I seen things more clearly
    I'd soon have gone running

    So innocent I was
    So naive and unschooled
Thus he swept right on in
And he soon had me fooled

    So stealthy his ways
    So reckless his art
As he stole, piece by piece
From my soul and my heart

    Have faith now, dear friends
For this tale's not yet told
See, I won each piece back
    And I scorned him tenfold!

    I beat him, I did!
    At his very own game!
    Now that man stands alone
With his guilt and his shame

As for me? I'm just fine
    I can hardly complain
I gained back quite a lot
    By losing his name

    Oh yes, love's quite grand
When it's real and it's true
    But when it's a sham
    It can leave you unglued

    So stay true to yourself
And hold fast to your heart
Be your own first true love
    That'll be a good start

    Let no one else in
    Until you're quite sure
    You've found a true gem
    Within him or with her

    For love is a gift
    And a sight to behold
'Tis the love that is true
Can't be bought, can't be sold

    Be wise in your dealings
    Be strong in your heart
And you'll soon find a love
    From which neither will part.

Exchange of a clandestine greetings, behind the closed doors between life and death are not visible to naked eyes but soul can feel it.
A deep sigh of grief runs over a normal facial expression as if in low sound, life is saying to death... I am ready to hug you now.

Why silent greetings are always welcomed by life instead of loud sounds of the victory trumpets of the demons of death.

A silent mutual understanding is more than enough to read the vibrations of heart and mind. Death doesn't come when body is ill, death waits for heart to feel ill and defeated because death is always invited by defeated and fading heart.

Chirping heart always invite a life. A clandestine greetings, behind the closed doors actually always wait for smiles but unfortunately we send the vibrations of wrong message and greets the demons of our inner self.

    Zephyr of Life

The walls of my room were quiet but
the air was filled with the silences.
I could hear the lub-dub of my heart
    And feel the simultaneous sighs.
I was feeling weary,my body was numb
But i had aches in all the parts too.
I raised my hand but it needed a support.
It shivered only in the vacant balloon of air.
I could fly the heights with my mouth but
Could i even stand upon my feet for a while?
My eyes were flaming, though being moist
The zephr of love made me alive at most.
And under the darkness i did feel illuminated
With the lonesome breezes and starry skies.
I felt a funeral, in my brain. Of all the things
I had been nurturing there. Sometimes Life.
And many times, the Death too.Still,i remain.
Conversing with a lone star in the cloudy skies,
the rhaphsodies of Hope in the mint of Life.
The longing of sunrise was all, desired.
But the serene silence was even more loved.
I felt like reaching the top mount peak,
And unload the burden with utmost shrieks.
    The ceiling illustrated more nostalgias,
Harmonius heart synced with the rolling tears.
    As soon, my eyelids felt slight heavier ;
    I received a clandestine greeting,
behind closed doors of my eyes.
Of the glaring cosmos where it was written,
    .......... "Life" ..........

This is meant to be my submission to the cg_city_chall; however, last night I unexpectedly fell asleep for hours unaware (due to narcolepsy), and missed my own challenge. Unbelievable, eh?!
Gotta play by the rules though, so I'm not hashtagging it. Thank you for reading!

    STAR CROSSED
    by Carolyn Glackin
    Though it's been told
    In timeworn tales
    Of that which soothes
    Thy mortal beast
    Throughout all
    My endless searches
    I've found naught,
    To say the least
    But one fine day
    I did find him
    We two were destined
    So it seemed
    Thus the future
    Now much brighter
    With such hope
    It finally gleamed
    I was his inamorata
    And he, my paramour
    But never could we know
    Just what the future
    Held in store
    It seems that time
    Will have its way
    Quite often sooner
    Then its due course
    And fate
    The grand decider
    Is the one
    We cannot force
    We were star crossed
    He and I
    Like Romeo and Juliet
    The slow demise
    Of what we were
Is one I never shall forget
    We were those two ships
    Always passing
    Never meeting
    In the night
    One moment
    He was there
    In the next
    Gone, out of sight
    So in a twinkling
    'Fore I knew it
    'Twas all over
    In a blur
    And therein lies
    The culmination
    Of the city
    We never were.

    Our Failed City

The man made jungle still hold my heart
for you my love is still dwelling in those parts
    a skyline obstructed with buildings
as the nightlife is possessed with busy thoughts
the life we knew came to a close
for our country love had been all but loss
so tomorrow will bring a busy day for you
while I ride a train leaving you
our hearts will never build that city of love
because of the separation of our hearts now we see
    ~the city we never were~

    Tears drains upon my cheeks
as the scenery out the window and my thoughts meet
your presence will be a skyscraper in my mind
for the loss of us has this feeling of torturing time
you chose the city over me
yet I know I'm being selfish to your dreams
so I left screaming in my heart
at the visions of our happiness
    and at the thought of
    ~the city we never were~

I thought we were built out of concrete and love
that our foundation was built strongly to tower above
our lives were intertwined on that river bank
as it was you who I fishing for that day
yet we're here separated on our journeys
the noises of the train drown out my whimpering
the noises of the city drown out your thinking
our buildings of self are far away from each other
as we both begin to accept our
    ~city we never were~

    CITY OF ECOTOPIA
    The city we never were
Like that of the Garden of Eden, the paradise was rare.
    The city of our imagination,
    The dream place of idealisation.

    The city we never were,
Is in the present moment or nowhere.
    That's our mind's utopian vision,
    "Ou-topos",only a fictional destination.

    The city we never were,
Is the illusion of a utopian city that we desire.
    The city with perfection,
May we find that far away near the horizon.

    The city we never were,
    May be existing blurred somewhere.
There can be the birth of future city of ecotopia,
With idea of rehabilitation, pacifism, virtue and legitimisation of existence renew.

    The city we never were,
At present can be unreal and blur.
But our heavenly city of utopia,
Will born as ecotopic city or else our fantasy will catastrophise into dystopia.

    PHRASE PROMPT

    THE CITY WE NEVER WERE
    part of its quietness,
    without the sounds of
    the horn of vehicles,
    without the rush and push
    in crowded local trains,
    without the school kids
    singing prayers and
    standing disciplined for assembly,
without the kids playing in the play area
    running and hopping
    tossing and fighting,
without the vendors on the street
calling us to give away the old newspapers
or to take away the clusters accumulated
in the corners of the home.

    The pandemic "Covid 19"
    has stolen away the peace.

Hopes of recovery, Prayers to be safe
is the only strength with us now.

    I remember a poem,
on the gallery, next to the stairs,
    top floor of my school.
    One that greeted everyone who,
    passed through the corridor,
With tale of an ancient king,
    his pursuits and his splendour,
    his vigour and his grandeur,

In sweet phrases of english, it painted,
what it demands to deserve glory
It was meant to inspire, but
alas, not a single of us bothered,
about that flamboyant piece of art.
Untill the day, the frame was broken,
and name of that ancient king,
smeared with a black blob of paint.

Now, there stood a new poem,
which praised, but had no patron,
about a city we never were,
armies we didn't desire, yet we stopped,
and read, for it felt, it spoke about us,
About glory that is destined to be ours,
    It inspired, like never before,
It inspired, like it was meant to be,
That poem which now had no name.

The curse of corona has killed the city 's rythem the city was so lively and life was fun with Plethora of shops malls and park the city used to hum like a lark

No more such fun and frolick here drab daily life full of dispair daily news of corona taking people in its paws and people are scared we have become the city we never were

Hello out there fellow writers! Good to see everyone! Well, virtually speaking that is...
Anyway, after a very long time, I finally got my act together and decided to host a new challenge. We have @galvanizedthoughts to thank for that, because the concept for this challenge comes solely from her very bright and innovative mind, and I'm merely hosting it, along with her.

    LEGACY
    ---------

    We are cemented with thoughts
as laid during the foundation years.

    During the whole life time
    our thoughts guide us through
the path chosen to live, and
    we are tagged with names
    based on our deeds.

    But the FAG END
of our life will be determined
    by our deeds done throughout
our life and will reap the fruit
    of goodwill and highlight in
    the legacy left behind
    like footprints on the sand.

Satan's rule has reached its peak

    Now they are insecured, threatened
    Everywhere woes, cries like deaden
    Lost the nuances of ubuntu

    SHOULD WE FLY,
    SHOULD WE RUN,
    OR SHOULD WE JUST WALK?

I will start to sew all the stars,
    With a white thread.
    And keep them for you.

Stars can be replaced with words.
For the night can be adorned with my words, that shine brighter than stars!

    I weaved the constellations
    With words making verses
    That lead to beautiful odes.

    Oeuvre that's
Deep than this pitch black sky
And high than the hued ocean that reflects the sunlight!

The sunsets won't hurt you any more,
    We're above the clouds.
    Viewing the horizons getting prettier,
    By touching the sun.
And the sky getting nourished, With the moon.

    Underwater twilight,
    Dreams are so bright right...

    Cups of lights,
    Plates of memories.
    Bottles filled with peace,
    And coffees full of love.
    If I ruled the world...
All of these would be yours, my girl!

    If I ruled the world

There's one too many things I would change
First of all I will make Cancer a "curable" disease
Free medical treatment for those in poverty
Imply instant death sentence for rapists
Wait that's not right, better yet cut of their genitals and let them pass away slowly
Will build houses for the poor
Then free food for the families whose monthly income is 1000 Rs. or less
Make sure people follow road safety and rules
Ban all sorts of human trafficking
Ban alcohol! Even though it's a major part of the economy!
The list goes on and on
    But nothings gonna change
Thinkin of it just builds up rage
It's like I'm locked up in a cage
To some this may seem as a blank page
To some this may be a needful change
    If I ruled the world
Not one soul will suffer cause of the cold
