for all our passing time on earth,
i am left with life as my guide;
listening for what is right
while knowing
there is no ultimate right
or wrong;
all paths leading
to the same destination
on this timeless,
endless wheel --
our only question might be:
how do we wish to enjoy
the journey?
what do i know but
there seem to be choices
we make for no reason
other than
we feel inclined to make them;
no better than or less than,
rather a better for me
or better for you
depending
on how we choose to live.
perhaps the best choices of all
are ones that make us truly happy
in this present moment,
and each choice after that
might just as well be the same
if we are to enjoy
a consistently happy life;
we may notice when we do
that life unfolds more or less
on it’s own --
with us making choices
and life delivering opportunities
for happiness
at every turn,
if we notice.
