    Amidst the Storm

    Pitter-patter, pitter-patter,
    Those slippery slugs pelting down
    as little glass shards upon my brow;
    I scurry to the car, jeans muddied and wet,
    traversing the ripples --
    Sneakers squawking like ducklings
    en route to their death;
    At last, I make it back to that
    glistering hunk of metal,
    Handle iced over, still I manage
    to open the door;
    Whoosh! A burst of brumal air
    thrusting me forward
    As I hurl my wares upon the
    passenger side floor;
    Brrr, it's bitter out here!
    Oh, how I detest this time of year
    when the sun skulks and sneers
    and time slumbers like a bear;
    I rush to fire up the heat
    with a taut twist of a frozen key,
    Blast! Another blow, this time to my
    benumbed cheeks and nose,
    Oh, how I ne'er cease to forget
    to reorient the grates;
    Perhaps, I'll rest but for a moment
    and await the rain to abate;
    Peering out my side window, I cerebrate:
    I wonder --
    Do the nimbi know of their liquid lattices,
    glistering like crystals, bending with each facet?
    For their silky spectacles mollify so --
    All the more those tearful torrents
    at present cascading from wound to loam;
    Perhaps, there's more to our borrowed time
    than pursuing paths that elude the storm,
    For there bides no such thing as dancing in the rain
    if there's naught worth fighting for.

    Near the dusk,
    sepia hued sky,
    clouds overcasts,
    rain is about to fall
    down any moment.
    all these is seen from
    the window of room
    where I'm sitting like
    a statute,feeling sad.
    silent tears keep on
    rolling down my cheeks
    red eyes gaze sepia light,
    my chin is down on joined
    knees,body slouched in pain,
    heart is nebulous as much the
    sky is now,lips tightly pressed.
    I feel blank alongside aggrieved.

    A Raindrop Sign

    A sign:
    A sign is all that I asked,
    As I sat by the window,
    Lost in thoughts,
    Contemplating about the loop of happiness and distraught.

    Isn't it strange that
    We spend a lifetime in penury,
    Losing our essence out of agony,
    Whereas not spend a day in celebrating our victory?

    As I sat by the window,
    I saw a raindrop
    Slowly descending down the window pane,
    And at this point, came to the realisation that
    Even the descend has a beauty engraved to it,
    That meets your eyes only when you change your viewing prospect.

    A sign:
    A sign is all that I asked
    And found it through the falling raindrop
    That peace lies in the perception that we adopt,
    While dealing with happiness and distraught.
    That falling things could be beautiful too ,
    For it enhances the value of victory rendezvous.

    Rain-Lapse

    Softly, tugged my body and soul, again
    As my home and reality fades behind the rain
    I drift among the clouds, smirk at the petrichors chuckle,
    Laughter replaces, as the drops tickle,
    And suddenly I can feel my insides dance,
    Being lead into a beautiful trance,
    Where I become the wind, carefree, everywhere,
    My magical manse, made by melting mares,
    That whispers whims of the moon,
    My senses converge, granting me the boon,
    Of feeling every soul of the world.
    Kisses from dew drops in my neck,
    From the clouds, oh, a loving peck,
    I brush past the raindrops, hear them gasp,
    Seven flavours of the lost rainbow, I clasp,
    See the sky change its mood to play
    With me, so I decide to stay,
    For a little long in my rain-lapse reverie,
    When the sky wants you there, what's more heavenly!

    Isn't it supposed to be warm inside
    When my eyes are following the
    Raindrops on the pane
    slowly moving down the aisle,
    made exclusively for them?

    The memories you gave
    won't let me ( i know)
    Feel the gelid gale ever.
    They've kept your promise
    And I am never dying cold

    So (I guess) what I feel inside is
    Merely an achromic void.
    That is being knocked by

    Raindrops

    Raindrops transpire like a peek of
    Ammi's Asr prayer when it rains
    in the heart of a star-full night,
    some raindrops saunter backwards
    with embryones of hope to your
    hallway while some roll down with
    the earth against your window
    awning putting off some outcries
    of the latter colourless autumn

    Oft when I sit to replenish the voids
    of my week worn, paper furrowed
    pencil colour colouring, raindrops
    tickle down catching me up again to
    hoist the curtains and gawk for the
    activity in the streets, with the taxis
    hurrying windshields and an old couple
    waddling under one garish umbrella

    My father says, raindrops prompt
    him of the days when he was 22,
    his amethyst bicycle and the giant pits
    he shoved it through at the college gate
    And the rain-fresh leis of paperwhites
    he shaped while discontinuing the
    classroom with his friends

    On Fridays raindrops scent of his
    perfume and the garnet glassed
    Hennessy while slowly bumping
    with the mud pots at the winding
    path making music with tweets
    of sparrows and starlings, jumping
    in the rivers and roadside rivulets

    Raindrops are a memo from
    memories twirling on a black
    and white wheel of happiness
    with evening city fogs and the
    early wet meadows at its feet
