Drenched
There's a sweet melody in the dripping droplets
A gentle cool in the wind it carries
A mild aggression in the clouds Grey
How they all constitute a rainy day
Fogs having counsel with mountains
Tufts of clouds imprisoned on tree tops
Roads and trails all drenched
Seems like a long thirst had been quenched
Forests like glittering emeralds
Hills showcasing their new apparels
Tiny drops all over the leaves
Singing in unison, from fields to heaths
Everything with a renewed texture
A layer of some lively moisture
Umbrellas and cesspools all over
Majestic as if I'm touring Dover
Warm blanket and an Earl Grey
Very own luxuries of such a day
With lightning every now and then
Reminding getting out today is nothing but vain

यूं तो बरस पड़ने को बेताब हैं ये मेघ कई दिनों से
अम्बर में कभी उमड़ते कभी घुमड़ते जिरह करते।
फकत कुछ तो हुआ है ऐसा कल से जो समेटा था
कल तलक तक कौंधती बिजली संग बरस पड़े हैं।

It was raining,
And you came along,
In my memory, in my song,
Drenching me in the time gone by,
Taking me down the lanes,
I had long obliterated by,
All I could recall was your perfume,
Fresh petrichor was always the perfume,
I associated you by...
Many a walk under an umbrella,
Or just dancing in the rain,
Oh! what fun it was,
In the car looking out,
All seemed so fresh and crisp,
Green more green & pink more pink,
My rose colored glasses renewed,
It was a good life, lived just right...
For the rain, will always be our forever bond..

Decorating the heaven's halls
Sewed by angels who never vie.
Today the same are grey
Like some illness conquered their way
Ready to fight some lovely war
With thunder claps and lightning
That love to come down so far
For people it might be frightening
But it's fine,
For it's a special gift
That only love can define,
That can connect the rift.
Between Heaven and Earth,
Between Lord and Life.
It leaves us plenty, no dearth.
It leaves us merry, no strife.
Down they descend
Drop by drop
Falling from the sky
Like an elixir, I can't try
They soothen the crop
This is love I comprehend.
Sometimes they make a rainbow
Seven colours like seven vows
The seven beautiful vows of love
Passing which one reaches heaven above
How lovely these colours are
That when intervined together
Make the same white we left so far
White of clouds in a sunny weather.

Rain
Last night there was a heavy rain.
Heavy was the downpour;
Heavy was the heart.
But,
Light was the soul.
The rain was gently patting the rooftop. Giving relief to the soul.
The parched earth welcomed the rain drops
And so as the soul.
The sound of rain and thunder and the deserted roads ,
Gave me comfort and happiness .
New was the rain,
New were the emotions.
Finally it cleansed the streets ,
It cleansed the heart.

That are bound to be dropped

we catch them
and make a wish

tranquility
permeates the soul
of atmosphere.
Beholding the way
the sliding drop
sips her ethereal
beauty,
