I hated that feeling of defeat.
Everything that I had known was changed in a heartbeat.
I was so weak, so to speak.
I continued to weep and weep and weep and weep.
And speak my mind so much,
That It always caused some beef.
But talk is cheap.
And lies are always free.
But I love my peeps.
And yall can all sit at my table to feast,
any day of the week.
Cuz keeping it real is the only way I can sleep.
Because if you do me good, I'll do you better.
I'll stand with you out in the stormy weather.
And try to help u feel better.
Whatever it takes, we take it together.
And we never say never.
We all need a circle of love.
And people we can really trust.

I have been defeated, nothing really completed. My world is not for the weak. Seeing the addicts tweak. Selling themselves for dollars. Crying out, but nobody hears them holler.
I see the frail old man, dig through the garbage just for a taste of food.
What does this conclude? A world of madness, selfishness and the greedy.
You would think everyone could do their part for the needy. After all, most of us need help sometimes. Especially during these trying times. People on the streets of downtown in their city.
They don’t need or want your pity.
Just need to be understood. Ask yourself, will you help if you could?

Pay attention to the signs you asked God to show you; those red flags he displays often are only to protect you. Do not allow your faith and hope to persuade your own perception of what you see and how you're being treated. Believe the signs - the good & the bad for it is God responding to your prayers.
Date someone who matches your efforts; who will go above and beyond to make you smile just like you would for them; someone who's actions speak louder than their words but their words are so genuine and meaningful.
Never make excuses for someone who says their too busy because no one is that busy to want to talk to you, check on you, vibe with you, and spend time with you.
Do not feel guilty for someone else's issues because you cannot save anyone but yourself. No matter how damaged a person says they are, only they can fix themselves, not you.
This list can go on, but overall remember that time is precious and you should not waste yours by trying to convince someone of your value. We all have a love language... and if a person doesn't comprehend yours from early on, take it with a grain of salt and move on.
There are so many people in this world who will share your same common interests and will fulfill your needs as a human. Communication & honesty is what creates the foundation and everything else should come along naturally.
