Imagine you are sent to
a dark room with a torch.
You will find photographs on the walls,
broken toys filled in cartons
a diary that you once wrote to yourself,
everything that brings a smile to your face.
But you cannot illuminate the room.
They are the memories,
we can cast light upon them
but cannot truly relive.

Hope
In your words, you asked how long?
For once light was in sight,
For once I persived hope,
For once I could feel my wounds heal
For once the long lost satisfying laughter soothed my pain,
For once flushes, blushes and giggles exploded from deep within,
To my realization it was all a dreamscape.
I wish I could relive that dream, it's safer to live in the dream than this horrifying reality.

Freeze the time...
I wanted the time to freeze. Maybe because I knew it wouldn't come back again. I knew that this would not stay forever. And I even knew that he wouldn't be this expressive on normal days. Thus, those moments got converted into memories that will be carved on my heart for the whole life. They will stay and make me ache in pain whenever I want those things to relive. But how will I relive them when the time didn't freeze, and that moment chose to go away from me with the time? Even the recreation of those memories will not give me back what I experienced on that day.
Thus, cherishing the memories, it is! At least I won't ache in pain :)

A mother trying to feed her child, promising him the moon.
A father doing his evening walk, and silently looking after his baby girl play.
Grandmother telling the same story to her grandkids.
One of the many love at first sights.
A group of friends, having an impromptu meeting, that was promised a long time ago.
PRAYERS.
Watching the world slip down your feet, while standing still.
Watching the stars and the clouds align the way you like, or arrange them the way you like.
Sending out messages to the sky, silently, to the ones you loved, no matter where ever they are.
Listening to the play-lists that you made a long time ago.
Having million conversations in your head.
Or having none at all.
Each time you come across any of these things,
Though you forget the details,
Hope you remember exactly how you felt, while watching someone relive your memories.

In this gloomy room I visit
There's no peace at night
And no chaos in the day
Just some broken pieces
And vivid engravings everywhere
Hard to breathe in dusty air
It's sickening to come back here
But yet I go there too often
An old rocking chair in the corner
Kept beside a small window
A dusky sunset outside
And birds flocking in the air
Dim light through the window
With chirping sound entered the room
An odd but familiar fragrance I smell
Now I know where I am
A place Deep within me
Holding my collection of memories
Always reluctant to touch them
Still keeping them so close

PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE
Our past is something we can't recapture
It's done once And is over
There is no way out to recover the time
The days which you even decided to do something is also flown.
No Day And night of last week is left
It is all gone once we are slept.
Now, only a painting can change a past
But that will also play the button And everything will restart.
You can put stuff, add colours but can't change the past And make it true.
The Sunset you saw last Wednesday, won't be visible again.
You can't take everything but knowledge is something you should always gain
No matter, how hard you try something in life will be left
So, just enjoy at the place you're And trust me
You will feel something which you will just suddenly say is unfelt.
So, seize the present moments,
Grab all we can contain
Our futures are beautiful And elusive,
Our past we cannot claim!
The future moments are unseen
The past is gone
Enjoy the present before it becomes a memory for all.
