"I thought I loved two men." I said, I looked out the window. "You don't." The girl muttered. "In fact you don't love either one of them." I focused on a rain drop that was slowly sliding down. I felt like that raindrop. Falling 40 miles an hour, with a million different paths in front of me, and yet all I did was crash into another and cause a rippling effect. " Why do you say that?" I asked. How could she actually say that? I definitely love someone. My heart is beating like crazy, like some bomb that's about to go off. "Cuz the lover of old.." she paused." That love has already ran its course. You don't love him anymore, you are only in love with his memory." I glanced over to her almost in anger however, she was right. " He left you a long time ago, you've gotten used to his ghost, so what you're craving isn't even real anymore.As for the new love, it's one that hasn't had it's time yet. One love was a memory, this one however is a vision of what could be." I looked her over and saw how confident she looked and yet I knew she was anything but that. She was just wise beyond her years. "Right now, the only person that you need to love is yourself. Your heart is beating wildly for you. Fall in love with it, and when the time comes, whoever you're meant to be with, will be there."
I know she's gone now. She left awhile ago. In fact she was just another ghost that I had befriended along my journey. This ghost I've never loved, however she's definitely one that deserves to be. That ghost is me. A version of me that had carried all my scars. She has seen the path I've walked and I abandoned her for other lovers. Had those lovers actually loved me, they wouldn't have allowed me to abandon her. That was my wake up call. I am to love her, but most importantly, I am to set her free.
As the train arrived at its destination, I saw her in the crowd. I followed her to a creek and saw the dried blood on her sleeves.
"River. I said softly. " She turned around with tears in her eyes. " Out of everyone that you've ever needed to love, i needed it the most."
"I'm sorry." My tear stained cheek now matched hers. We were almost twins. Except she was begging for rest while I was desperate to live. " Out of everyone that you needed to let go of, I'll be the hardest. "
"I know." I stepped towards her.
She stepped back. " I'll always be in your heart. But I can't become a part of it, until you let love back in it."
" I understand." I opened up my arms" River. I love you. I love you more than anything in this world. I love you. I know you're innocent."
I saw the petrified version of me, run into my arms with her eyes shut." It's okay. Let it out. I forgive you."
She cried into my arms and with a quiet whisper" you have no idea how long I've waited to hear that."
"River, I love you, and I'll let you go now." I say with bittersweet joy.
"Thank you." Then just like that she disappeared in the air and my heart felt lighter. I know there were more versions of me that I'd have to love and set free when the time is right. However, I guess this is what they meant, when they said to heal,you have to first make peace with your broken pieces.

Rainy days and quest for love..
Introspections were always confronting to her. Confronting what exactly?.. Well, she doesn't know..
Might be the regretted yesterdays where she layed her heart under the missing reveries of forevers..Or it can also be the cynical tomorrows which are breathless in the womb of the moony nights.. Or Was it the ashes of neglected todays she held herself under the quilt of ignorance.. Nobody knows...
Building her home in the rented hearts for love, she used to thrive in the measured affection and bare validation she was given, like the loafs of rotten bread thrown at that old man on the alleys of a distant dream.. May be that was her first mistake. Or was it our mistake, in general?
Do you run from place to place and people to people in search for a safe place to fall like the girl by the window side, long forgotten by the stars..?
Will you fall for the second chances of adversities when you are deprived of love and affection from the homes you build around all your life?
When the dawns of reality washes ashore her scars of memories, she closed her torned diary and slide it under her pillows of dreams.. Waiting for another rainy night, to wash her sins...

A LETTER FOR YOU FROM YOU- VISION 2022
Hey You!
Yes You.. Stop being harsh on yourself.I know you get overwhelmed watching so many people live the life of their dreams, going on dream vacations, productivity geeks managing their routines so well while you still struggle with waking up early and sticking to a routine. I know after endless procastination and false promises to sleep on time and start exercising and eating healthy, you still fall a prey to the chocolate loaded brownies or the mouth tickling yummy panipuri plate. I know that you promise, not to scrolling insta reels back to back or binge watch on Netflix but then your fav blogger shares a reel on your favourite song looking absolutely gorgeous or your favourite series comes up with another season, something that you have waited this long to watch. I know with the internet flooding with videos of how 'minimalism is the new black' you keep promising of not buying more clothes and decluttering your wardrobe but then your fav influencer picks up an outfit and you simply cant resist and end up buying that outfit landing yourself in that vicious circle again. I know you promise yourself to love yourself first, prioritise your mental well being but then society expects a lot out of you and you end up frustrated and miserable.
I know you. I am You.
Dont be harsh on yourself. The very fact that you are trying is a huge thing in itself. Dont compare your baby steps with someone else's giant leap. They had started somewhere You and I am right now. Life is simple and do you think you should complicate it by overburdening yourself with all at once. You deserve love, patience, kindness that you so easily pour on others. Take it slow. Start with waking 15 mins early or may be not snoozing your alarm when it beeps the very first time. Allow yourself to cheat on your favourite food when following your strict diet. Sometimes instead of hitting gym when you are in no mood to exercise go out on a stroll with your parents, pet or call up your bestie as you walk..Trust me it would add to your mental health as well.
Just dont rush after trends, what is today might now be tomorrow. Be you, be your own trendsetter.
With the advent of a new year. I know you just like me would simply add up goals just like we have done all these years. A vicious circle of never ending promises and false hopes, isn't it? but this year lets promise ourself not to be harsh on ourself, not to compare our life with someone else lala land, pour ourself with endless love and patience and to take it slow. Just remember a slow pace is far better than quitting.
I have promised myself the same. How about you?

The present is quite dreadful,
I’d rather be your dream
Who needs tomorrow anyway?
No matter how bright it might seem.
Enough time has passed through
For me to look back at it
There’s still no single story
Where I’m content with it
I keep thinking to myself
It’s just a matter of time
But it keeps coming back to me,
It doesn’t affect me I’m fine
The time is quite abysmal

My e-mail box remained stubbornly empty, Still no answer from the Friend I’d written to. I check my voicemail. I had left messages for several people, but none had responded yet.
I was struggling with a tough decision and desperately wanted a friends perspective. I'd reached out—through a variety of technologies. Everyone I sought out was busy or not home or didn't have time to answer. For days, I felt that my request for help, insights and just plain friendship had disappeared into a black hole. I didn't like the feeling of sharing, asking and opening myself up and getting no response.
But the hard truth is sometimes that the response I long for does come. Friends forget to return a call or put off answering an e-mail. Children don't remember to reach out, and the longed for Mother's Day card may not come. A spouse may be distracted by a phone call from work in the middle of a moment of heartfelt sharing.
What a profound gift God offers us when He promises to always be attentive to us and to respond. The Almighty God of the universe cares deeply and intimately for us, and when we call out to Him, He's never too busy. Not only that, but His response isn't a generic word of comfort or encouragement. He responds to us in unique ways, tailored for our specific situation.
Lord, I'm so grateful that You long to hear from me and respond with such tenderness to each problem I bring You. Remind me to turn to You when I feel alone. —SHARON HINCK
