I have made mistakes. A lot of them apparently. They all come around eventually, creeping their way up my spine. The more I look, more monstrous the figures get. Some days it will be a bright shine, and out of the blue moon, a hood appears on the porch. Sys he wants my fears.
Creek his rags of cobwebs. His walk is limp, wanting some help. Hands reach out like a beggar on a rainy day, progressing towards the door. He stops in front of the door, staring into the abyss. Nothing he wants, nothing he craves. Admitting to his sins, he begins scraping the wood. Nails, screech past wounding the flesh.
The thing scrapes till there's no flesh left. Bones peek out like a child behind his mother. A tear greets the floor, melting the earth beneath. The feet vanish like the wind.
"You've got some work to do", he says in his coarse voice before the earth eats him up.
I watch this from the mesh like a wonder. When will the curtains fall on this one? When will the sun set on this front?

Strange as the half-meanings
Alurk in a wise woman's mousey eyes.
Yes, tell your sins And know how careless a pearl fog is Of the laws you have broken.

The scent of blazing wood tickled my nose,
All I could think of was that they know, it knows.
It's a lose-lose situation, one I could not possibly win,
A chocking feeling clawed its way up as I faced my sin.
An ambient cackling rose admist my screeching thoughts,
A figure, clocked in black, clutching two swords.
Orange flames flickered in the reflection of the metal,
I heard an echoing scream from the night, almost like a kettle.
The figure strode towards me, as if it had all the time,
If only I could trade a nickel for a dime.
But it is too late, as the swords morphed into a scythe
And the late night birds singed and cried.

As morning came the rays turned golden,
With the celebration of the sinner who had fallen.
The horns of hell lay on top its head,
As the sinner give into its bloodshed.

Some Sins
The voices grew louder with time,
Deafening none but her.
Cries of pain, laughs of joy,
All alike;
Together just a noise.
Nothing but memories they were,
Some haunts,
While some soothes.
Each sound was a reminder;
Of her past,
decisions and choices,
Of lies and sacrifices.
Painful were the ones she heard,
None of them wanted a smile.
Wanting to deafen those,
Closing herself up inside,
Hoping for the passage of time;
For an end that'll never arrive.
Be it the past or now,
Evil stays evil,
Though good fades away.
Sins are never forgotten;
Or forgiven.

All is just in love and war
But love is absent in this game
Beware this lovely glass of wine
Tangle with Lust and you won't leave the same
Jealousy has always been overrated
Dwelling on matters when others have more
Stop it with your needless obsession
As Envy glides in to settle the score
Stuff your face you obese fool
Eat as much as your stomach can hold
An insufferable weakling gives in to seven
The sin is Gluttony and this sin is bold
The realization shall dawn on you
That you're guilty of all of these sins
Don't feel bad though, it's in your nature
After all, in the end, you're only human

Now I find my mind is a circus
Searching for Euphoria,

Ramadan Series 14
Committing sin can become a habit. Most a-times we go back to that same sin even after so many regrets and sadness. Other times we feel we have sinned so greatly and are ashamed to repent and ask for forgiveness.
We should know that in the Qur'an Allah SWT said: "Verily, Allah loves those who repent and those who purify themselves", (Qur'an 2:222).
The Prophet SAW also said:
1) "If you were not to sin, Allah would certainly create people who would sin and He would forgive them", (Sahih Muslim).
2) "Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant when he turns penitently towards Him than one of you would be on finding the lost camel", (Sahih Muslim).
3) "Whoever repents before the sun rises from the west, then Allah will forgive him", (Sahih Muslim).
4) "He who repents for his sin is like one who has no sin", (Kanzul 'Ummal).
5) Every son of Adam sins, and the best of those who sin are those who repent", (At-Tirmidhi).
We should know that, it is okay to sin because we are humans, but what is not okay is not to repent and ask for forgiveness.
May Allah Azzawajallah forgive our sins and guide our paths.... Aameen.
