Gone
Gone, are the bee's wings
Gone, are the bee's legs
It plummets to the earth
down from starry nights
down on thorns that steal its sight
It lays wailing and seeping
on a rose paddled covered earth
feeding the roots 'till nothing exists
then echoes of her destruction.

Tear Drops On The Bed
I stare into nothingness as I gather my thoughts,
My journal right by my bed stand calling out to me
The inner thoughts are loud and they beg me to release them on the page
Release that built up sorrow and rage.
I climb onto my bed in a meditation position
As I begin to write about my disposition
Sheets on the bed keep me warm
As my heart shivers from the coldness of my words.
The bed is secure too
As I sit there thinking this dilemma through
"If I cry right now, no one will see me"
My bedroom offers me that type of privacy
"It gets better" I say
Like that writing on my bedroom wall proclaims:
"The World is Tough but so are You!"
If only they knew that wasn't true
But the only things that know that are my bed, my journal and you.
The bed pulls me in for a hug
Let's me know that it's okay to cry
It hides me from the real world for a while.
I rest my head on the soft pillows
Wave to my teddy bears "hello"
As I write my final stanza.
I wipe away my tears
Because footsteps are near
And I hide my emotions with a smile
I get up off the bed and stare back at it
Because I know it will never share what just occurred and no one will ever know
That I just shed tears on the bed.
