THE SPIDER
She builds a home
With silver threads
And invites guests
To sleep on her beds.
A fly gladly accepts
And lies on her bed
And a flea even pays
To rest on that trap.
Such gossamer beds
Hang under any tree
Whence the fly couldn't flee -
And the flea couldn't fly away.
She rolls them along
With the bedsheets
And kisses them before
She finally sits and eats.

Spider Web
I saw the art of construction,
Construction which kept me in confusion,
Confusion that created a question,
Question to the Spider, to know it's teacher introduction,
With its own wool like web,
It could stitch it's home in circle,
Like the shape of Tyre of bicycle,
Sometime my eyes do sparkle,
I felt sad,
when I heard it's home is spiders web is cause of its own destruction.

Spider
A tangled three dimensional web
Was hanging abandoned away
A spider walked into it
And weaved a beautiful display
A drop of water fell
Crystals forming by
It showed me what could be done
When one makes up their mind
Silk forming in the glands
Showed its inner talent
It patiently continued weaving
Till a prey got entangled
I got to learn something
As I watched it by
All our hidden talents
Will work one day at a time

Growing up in the early 2000s
The era of comic books and GI Joe toys.
I saw Spiderman, the movie released.
Would catch spiders or any insect to bite me
But none did, I was crazy
So I made the worst possible prayer.
Then, 20 years later, my dream came true!
The so-called love bug bit me
Ah! Not this bug
Stop about saving the world,
I couldn't even save my poor soul
And all my self-respect and dignity is gone begging for replies and calls.
And I am crazier than ever before.

The Blessed tragedy
She was a maiden, unique, so Divine. Her beauty, the envy of every lady. She could be nice,but they called her Spice.
See, while her beauty was unmatched, she was anything but Dainty. No one dared try her, because they knew she was a rider.
Then one day a pack of spiders,that set beside her, well, they dared to fight her, one even slid inside her.
She kept it to herself, remember, she's no Damsel. She became a cradle,unbeknownst.
A tumultuous birth occurred, which is when she learned, the most abominable event in her life, begat her first blessing.

A trip to the backyard
Where we often go
My friend and I came across
A spider , what do you know?
A harvest spider he says
That is what it's called
The arachnid was resting
Just alongside the fence wall
A very strange creature
When you are up close
I know they look scary and
Some say they are gross
We both took some photos of
Different angles and light
I wonder if the spider knows
He gives many a bad fright
We let him be and left
His only wish is peace
He is nature's creation and
Not some sort of beast

Silently waiting
Energy he's been saving
To minimize any chasing
A space in the fence where his nest is
Near some bugs he is praying
A meal he's been craving
Surprising them for him to be snatching
A fly or bee then he'll be eating

A tiny spider caught in the world
spins her web to control her world
she tries to wait patiently
yet her urges beat faintly
she lies in wait
for what she calls prey
A bug of no importance
simply flying in the world of independence
lands on a strand of her web
vibrations tells her something is amiss in her web
she crawls towards the prey
barely containing her excitement
The bug fears what approaches it
yet it accepts it fate that quickly approaches it
it stares into the eyes of its fate's holder
she peers down but distaste overcomes her
something about this bug displeases her
so she let it get away from her
She goes back to the center of her web
once again waiting for the perfect prey to fall in her web
soon a beautiful bug lands on her strands
It squirms and resist
her instincts warns her
but this one is too appetizing to resist
so she uses her fangs to pierce him
as she wraps him up and takes him with her
She devours him without hesitation
not realizing its messing with her digestion
she moves back to the center of her web
feeling sick of the delicious looking meal
realizing she made a fated mistake
she let the right bug get away
as she should've kept patient
now her days will be rough
from her costly mistake

The itsy bitsy spider
went up the waterspout
Down came the devil
to wash the spider out
Out came the sun, Jesus
who dried up all the rain

A lonely man, neath candle’s light,
spent his days bringing night.
He lives alone, he took no wife,
lived counting years to afterlife.
Sharp spider’s eyes, and readied legs,
showed its life is purpose-led.
With ragged sigh; he breaths his dread,
a lonely man thinks of his bed.
Stock-still spider on trembling threads,
will catch food now, be later fed.
One thinks of future, one of what’s said;
one living life, one walking dead.
With instinct’s arm, and repaired web,
silk welcome spun the prey's regret.
One living virile, one impotent;
as old man stumbles, the prey’s beset.
One makes welcome with table set,
One locks his door with steel barrette.

- away_with_words @eniim_allo All using and android! I took a base image of a cobwebbed window ledge, and used it as background. I then took a picture of a spider, made the background transparent and tweaked the colour, saturation, and opacity until it meshed well.
