Hovering over the vista of memories
Sucking in the aching reveries
Digging in deeper the dagger of words
Through the way of the broken absurd
Ohh look what I got
A battered old verse of my aching week
Tears splashed the sodden soggy pages
As I watched through a whirl of images
Look, look into my broken heart
Splattered pieces upon the floor
Catch, catch that glimpse of my frustrated mind
Confused after every heated argument
Check, check the almirah of my eyes
Filled with tears after every talk
Feel, feel my pain behind those smiles
Plastered after every fight
Vision, vision those injuries on my skin
Hidden with makeup and creams and medicines
Save, save another from the same fate.......

Knight in not so Shining Armor

A knight in shining armor
Is what many women dream of,
Something very common in fairy tales.
A hero who sweeps away the princess,
The young maiden
From the clutches of villains,
The evil forces.
Does such a knight in shining armor really exist?
Did he ever exist?
A strong knight,
Going through all adversaries
Fighting the enemies,
Fighting through the rain and storm,
Would he even have a shining armor left to behold?
His armor would be riddled with
Scratches, dirt and blood,
Just like his face.
A true knight can never be found,
In a perfect, clean and pristine condition.
He would not have fair skin,
Nor an unscathed body.
He would not be very friendly
Instead he would give off an unapproachable vibe.
As he would always need to be wary
Of his enemies lurking in the shadows,
Not knowing their appearance.
He would be like a rose,
Surrounded by thorns.
Only someone who is not afraid of hardships
Of being riddled with scars from the thorns
Would ever be able to get close to him,
To earn his trust and his affection.
A fair and frail maiden,
Without any tough bone in her,
Can never make such a true knight hers.
A true knight, who is without a shining armor
Is very difficult to find,
Even more difficult to love
And most difficult to get close to.

This heart is full of exquisite thorns.
And
It does have enchanting flowers too
But before reaching to the flowers
You might have to Suffer and bleed
a little bit 'Because,
In the beginning
You will have to accept thorns first.
So
If you are willing to accept the thorns
Then you will get to smell flowers too.

||The Rose||
I fell in love with the rose. You know why? Because it had thorns. It wasn't smooth like other flowers. It had thorns. It was sharp and could make you bleed. At least that's what others always said... But when I touched it. It was magical. I didn't bleed, maybe just a little maybe I felt a little pain but I never complained. It was worth it. Even though it was the wildest rose of all the roses. With the wildest thorns. But for me it was indescribably different, it was mesmerising, with golden flecks inside, that not everyone could see. Because they were foolish enough to ever see the beauty in something that it won't let itself be touched by others so easily. The rose that always had been misunderstood by other flowers. The rose that is the emperor of all the other flowers. I fell in love with the rose because it was itself till the end. It is itself even now and I could swear that it will always be itself.
I fell in love with the rose... Because the rose resembled him so much... Him that was so incredibly different that I could name him a flower... Indeed the most beautiful flower.

When all I saw was thorns

He built a boat to row on it
When I went towards the dark
He shone a torch from behind me
When I thought I am of no use in this world
He took my hand and said
"then go and make a world of your own".
