Long discussions on poetry
spoken quotes like flowers
decorated the room and
as the wine flowed freely
a few limericks got thrown in
as the discussion rolled on
for hours upon hours.
And God please don't get him
started talking about salty wine
that topic will take over
the conversation every single time.
"What is it?",
"Who makes it?" and
"Where can I get some?"
"Tell me Marie!"
He would demand
What started out a joke
could get quite out of hand.
Still, oh how I miss him
his sometimes rude and brutish
ways never affected me
I think because he was never shy
in saying how much
he loved my poetry.

I had this tactic on my mind
I told a different date to each one I find
For me mattered driving love
Amorist I am I wanted to be above
But this fellow told me it's all fake
It's not about one but many that take
And then in the chaos I sat down
Tired of searching love for own

I forgot what my lover got of impression

A long time friend (SJTS)
A friend for over ten years
She has been so nice
We shared a lot of good times
And we had some that were bad
We both have moved around our town
Many different times
But we always find ourselves
Within walking distance of each other
She has been very kind to me
We play cribbage together
We message each other nearly every day
Just to see that the other one is okay
Her pets that I have known are awesome
Going back far to her favourite cat Spike
Her dog now named Jonesy is the best
Very friendly and the happiest little dog
This is just a thank you to her
She has been a friend for a long time
True friends are friends for the long haul
Good times or bad times
She has been the ultimate friend
Only a handful of friends stay that long
I wish her the best and her family
And I'm looking forward to many more years

Looked me in my eyes said, "I won't ever leave you behind no matter what". Well yes, he did leave me behind and didn't even have the decency to say it to my face. Just left. I had a truck, let a friend drive it so
I didn't have to. Well truck got repossessed, my friend came around less and less then never. Yes I got used again.
Be careful who you trust and who you let into your circle.

I have recently been in a toxic friendship and so much was about her she was never happy and always put me down. Its 2021 and im in high-school. I am now realizing who my true friends are and who don't care or are too self conscious to care and I hope you learn your friends because your true best friends will love you no matter what and not even that they are the ones to appreciate the little things and 5 minutes together is better then none but even if we don't text were not less friends it just makes me sad because your life is my life and your family is my second family and I like to know what happening meet your soul mate your sister and you will find your way through life.Just remember tell them you love them ❤

Truth in friendship-
The truth in friendship is not easily found today in time. It's warped by the world's perspective of what friendship should consist of. The world says that your friends should back you up no matter what, and the word of God says to pass righteous judgment and restore your brother or sister GENTLY. In John 15:13 Jesus said, "There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friend's." This literally means that to give your life for your friend is the greatest love shown to one another here on earth. "Life is a perfection, an excellence, this kind of Love and friendship is based in the excellence of the friends."
At times when we disagree with choices that our friends make, we can sometimes forget how to treat them. Instead of being supportive, we become too focused on making our own point of view known. Our own opinion of the matter quickly becomes what we believe to be truth. Unfortunately, this usually leads to hurt feelings and resentment. Think back on a time that you confided and vented to a friend about a certain situation, and that friend told you what you should do. You ended up making the opposite decision, but your friend disapproved. As a result, your friend became upset with you and made you feel insecure and hurt. Didn't you need Grace and understanding? Isn't it true that you desperately needed your friend to stand by your side throughout your circumstances? Absolutely. If we want to receive Grace, we must extend Grace. We should make the conscious decision to support and express love to our friends during their storm. Instead of showing frustration and disapproval, we must show them love.
We usually accomplish a deeper connection with our friends when we feel unconditional love. When we get honest and express our own feelings about their battles, yet gift them with our support after they make their own decisions. Even when we don't agree with them.
Just ask yourself, "Am I a true friend?" "Do I have true friends?" If your conclusion is anything less than what God's word says you deserve and should be yourself, go back to the basics and study friendship in the Bible. After all it is our instruction manual to life, given to us by God. The Holy Spirit is our helper, our comforter, and will always lead us in the direction of truth when we turn to him.
