Swimming within energy we intuitively feel each strand

Ubuntu
Have you ever met a theistic electron,
Or a proton with a certain coloured skin?
Have you ever seen the neutrons at war
Over the parts of the world they're in?
Have you ever heard any hatred fly
Out of the mouths of a mitochondria?
Or observed bigotry towards a haemoglobule
Because of its sexuality, or gender?
For some reason when we separate our parts
Such unkindness would seem absurd,
Yet when they're assembled all together
None are concepts we haven't all heard.
As humans we fail at times to remember
That a force exists between me, and you,
And the rest us; that we all deserve treatment
In the spirit of "Ubuntu".
"Ubuntu" should be our default.
Before we speak, we act, or decide.
Perhaps if we did we'd be more civil
Rather than choosing to "take a side"
We all begin life the very same way,
And we all end up in the same place.
My utopian heart would gladly welcome a day
Where we shed status, titles, and race.
Such sounds like such an impossible feat,
For the whole Earth won't change in a day.
Yet even if Ubuntu is commited to, little by little
It would still change the world in a beautiful way.
