मेरी शाम
वो जो तुम ले गए थे ना !
मेरी शाम, उस बार
जब तय था मिलना और
ढेर सारी बातें करना
और ये भी कि
मुलाक़ातों के सिलसिले
बनाए जाएँगे
माना था कि अब हम
दूर नही रह पाएँगे !
उस शाम जब मैंने पहली बार
गजरा पहना था
और अपने तन को
सुरमई रंग की साड़ी में
लपेटा था
तुम्हारी दी वो चूड़ियाँ
मैंने हाथों में सरका ली थीं
जिनकी आवाज़ तुम कहते थे
कि तुम्हें कहीं जाने ना देगी !
वो पेड़ अमलतास का था
जिसके नीचे फूलों का
बिछौना बिछा था
वहाँ ढेर सारा प्यार मैंने
बिखराया था
और उस शाम को डूबते सूरज
की ऊनींदी रोशनी से सजाया था !
पर तुम नही आए, तुमने संदेशा
भी नही भिजवाया
ये तो बताओ की मैं समेट लूँ
अब सब कुछ …
या तुम मेरी शाम लेकर
बस अब आने ही वाले हो l

जब कोई बहुत अपना लफ़्ज़ों से भरा होता है
लफ़्ज़ जो तीखे, नुकीले और कँटीले हों
जो दिखते आम पर शिकायतों से भरे हों !
गहरे लगता है, दर्द भी बहुत होता है
जब शिकवे जिगर को तार करें
तुम्हें समझने से कोई इंकार करे
किसी भी बात का ना कोई हासिल हो !
गहरे लगता है, दर्द भी बहुत होता है
जब सरोकार बस नाराज़गी का हो
कोई भी और रास्ता ना दिखता हो
रिश्ता जब हाथ से फिसलता हो !
गहरे लगता है, दर्द भी बहुत होता है
खुदाया यूँ ना कोई आईना दिखाया करे
ना बने अपना पर पराया भी ना करे
ऐसी तकलीफ़ से किसीको ना दो-चार करे ।

पड़ोस की सबीना आंटी ने इस बार फ़िर
सीवईं का कटोरा भिजवाया था
दादी ने फ़िर पहले की तरह मुँह बनाया था
पर राशिद का मुस्कुराता चेहरा कटोरा
लेकर मुझे थमाया था
राशिद को खड़ा देखकर पहले तो उनको कुछ
समझ ना आया था
फ़िर मेरी नक़ल में उन्होंने भी ‘ईद मुबारक’
दोहराया था
“थैंक्यू दादी!” कहकर राशिद मुस्कुराया था
उसके मुँह से ‘दादी’ सुनकर, मुझे और दादी
दोनों का अचरज हो आया था
“ जीते रहो !” कहकर दादी ने उसे पास बुलाया था
और हौले से उसका गाल थपथपाया था
दादी का वो बर्ताव सबको बहुत भाया था
आज तक जिसने धर्म को हमेशा हमारे दिलों में
दीवार की तरह उठाया था
हमेशा ही राशिद के मज़हब को नीचा बताया था
राशिद का हँसता चेहरा और वो सीवईं का कटोरा
हमारे घरों की सरहदों पर पुल बनकर आया था ।

inside me
Provoking me to move forward
fearlessly
I stepped out and sensed the scene
Within observed calm and serene
Pessimism slowly withdrew its occupancy
My being silently occupied by alacrity
Sound of heart beats echoed then
A harmony arose in heart’s glen
Twinkling of stars and shine of moon
Erased all my inner cynicism
My senses trapped in melodies’ realm
A restful sleep intruded stealthily
I explored a world,full of tranquility
Divorced my consciousness I followed that beam
Drowned in sleep I enjoyed my dream.
