    How beautiful and human it is,
    that you can actually feel
    Despair of an unknown.

    At the same time how helpless it seems,
    When you can do nothing about it.

    Potter Head

    I would pick the spell Lumos from the Book of Spells in Harry Potter. This is a Wand-Lighting Charm that illuminates the tip of the wand allowing one to see in the dark.

    Given the situation of Covid crisis around the world, I say we are going through the darkest times of our lives. Be it emotionally, mentally or physically. Many have suffered to the worst and still are.

    I would use this charm to lighten my days during these times because all we need is a ray of hope. As we know everything lies in our hands and if we could have faith in ourselves and get through these days together we could spend our lives just as normal as it once was. And I pray that we are all in this together to fight against this horrible situation that is put in front of us.

    Destruction at its peak
    With no aid, no relief
    Somewhere a tree crushed a life
    And yet, no help one could seek.

    Water clogged, and roads drowned
    Electrocuted, bodies lay in the middle of it all
    Terrible disaster it was, they said
    A cherry on top of the cake of a pandemic, people frowned

    No food, no livelihood
    Now the roof above them is gone too
    But we will brave it all and emerge victorious again
    If only together, hand in hand, we stood.

    We Shall Overcome

    "We shall overcome, we shall overcome,
    We shall overcome someday;
    Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe,
    We shall overcome someday."

    I sang this song every day, for thirteen years. I sang it along with all the students of my school, as prayer song, during the morning assemblies. As a four years old kid, I didn't know it was a gospel. It was just part of a routine to most of us.

    Later, through the years, we evolved while the song remained the same. The assemblies changed - from classrooms to the corridors, from the corridors to the main hall. Childhood duelled with adolescence even as the keyboard played,

    "We'll walk hand in hand, we'll walk hand in hand,
    We'll walk hand in hand someday;
    Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe,
    We'll walk hand in hand someday."

    Lovebirds used to exchange love letters, bullies used to give cold stares, hormones emboldened many to stare in amazement at the teachers they were 'heads over heels in love' with! The song was to be blamed because every morning it used to make us say,

    "We are not afraid, we are not afraid,
    We are not afraid today;
    Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe,
    We are not afraid today."

    The song, that was perhaps the only one song of which most of us knew every word, became an integral component of our very being. Every morning, for thirteen years, it infused us with courage and hope, and readied us to accept challenges.

    Today, even after all these years, the same song keeps on playing in my mind -

    "The truth shall make us free, the truth shall make us free,
    The truth shall make us free someday;
    Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe,
    The truth shall make us free someday.

    We shall live in peace, we shall live in peace,
    We shall live in peace someday;
    Oh, deep in my heart, I do believe,
    We shall live in peace someday."

    Thank you for the song, Pete Seeger. I wish you a very happy birthday.

    The mask that we all put to hide our true selves now hides the tongue that once helped keep it on.

    In for pretence,
    Aren't we all?

    Oh! But, what times have come!

    The mask that we all hid
    For so long
    Beneath our garbs
    Has to be now
    Placed above it all.

    ഈ കാലവും കടന്നുപോകും
    ഈ രാത്രിയും പകലിനു വഴി മാറും

    രോഗശയ്യയുടെ മങ്ങിയ ചിത്രങ്ങളെ
    അസ്തമയത്തിനെറിഞ്ഞു കൊടുക്കാം

    അടഞ്ഞു കിടന്ന വാതിലുകൾ മലർക്കേ തുറന്നിട്ടു നാം
    നാട്ടുവഴികളിൽ തമ്മിൽ കണ്ടുമുട്ടും

    അതിരുകളിലേയ്ക്ക് ഉൾവലിഞ്ഞു പോയ നമ്മുടെ ഓർമ്മ ചെപ്പുകളിൽ
    എത്രയെത്ര ചിരികളുണ്ടായിരുന്നു

    അതിൽ ഒരു ചിരിയുടെ നേർത്ത നൂല് കൊണ്ട്
    ഞാനും നിങ്ങളും തുന്നപ്പെടട്ടെ

    കോർത്തു കോർത്തു തുന്നിയൊരായിരം ചിരികളാൽ
    നമ്മളൊരു സൗഹൃദത്തിന്റെ കുപ്പായം പണിയും

    ചിരി മറന്നു പോയൊരീ ലോകത്തിന്റെ നഗ്നതയെ
    സ്നേഹത്തിന്റെ - സൗഹൃദത്തിന്റെ - ചിരിയുടെയാ കുപ്പായം നമ്മൾ അണിയിക്കും

    അന്നു ലോകമൊരു സുന്ദരിപ്പെണ്ണാകും!

    Hope, in times of Corona

    In these times of loneliness and despair,
    Where hope lies only with the One up there;
    Take a moment to look around you,
    Almost locked amongst your families and loves true:
    Suddenly, your fast paced lives have come to a standstill,
    While you finally enjoy the pleasures of a sunset from a window sill.

    Alarm clocks, deadlines, rushed goodbyes,
    Have given way to good morning kisses and dinner table lullabys;
    With smiles on your faces and songs in your hearts,
    Each one of you to while time have turned to a new craft;
    Cooking, cleaning, revisiting hobbies and lost passions,
    Learning to love yourselves has become the new fashion.

    These little things once overlooked and missed,
    The joys that adulthood, with time had killed;
    Woking on our makeshift desks while birds in background chirp,
    Nature too, in all its glory, has let itself reassert.
    And as the world gears up for its worst war of the decade,
    You be a soldier too, for inside you stayed.

    And, as all wars come to an end,
    This too, shall pass my friend.

    WE WILL MEET AGAIN.......!!!

    We will meet again when this wrath ends....
    We will meet again after a perfect win!

    We will meet again when this ailment is over......
    We will meet again at the dawn of the day!

    We will meet again when this pain stops....
    We will meet again in the city of love and joy!

    We will meet again when the hand collides for a shake....
    We will meet again with rising rays of the Sun!

    We will meet again when the death count is mislaid....
    We will meet again like our past endeavours!

    We will meet again in a healthy and bracing environment!!

    We will meet again....we will meet again....we will meet again!!!

    Proud hu, ki ek safe Indian hu,
    Sad hu, ke kuch brave Indians safe nahi,
    Pride se sarr uncha hai ki vo hai,
    Vo hai hifazat ke liye, toh hum kyu ghar nahi?

    Dinn mile hai chand, jeene ke liye,
    Apne aur apno ke liye jee lete haina!
    'Kal ho na ho' sirf movie nahi,
    Chalo aj ka dinn roz jee lete haina?

    I can't even name those fighters,
    But can we PLEASE support them?
    Vo jeete bhi hai, jaan jokhim me daal ke,
    Don't we owe this one thing to them?

    21 days; bas waqt hi toh manga hai,
    Let's save us and respect their efforts,
    Samjho jis waqt ki hamesha complaint karte thein,
    Let's take this & give ourself those comforts!

    You bet we'll do this people,
    Let's tell the warriors, we're with them!
    "We'll save us & all", is our oath to you,
    We'll defeat Corona from the root & not only the stem!

    We shall overcome

    She became lonely after her father died in relief camp... Then Jetheesh and his wife who are staying in a rent home and having no children after 11 years of their marriage, adopted her... Seeing the couples are just poor to bring up her forever, Jijujacob has offered them a house... This is the paradigm of survival...

    We must use our social media accounts very brilliantly now . As of now let's circulate information regarding flood and not post irrelevant things as well. .
    If there is one single lesson the world should learn from Kerala's flood is how to use social media.Ordinary people in Kerala have done extraordinary things during last flood. We've witnessed how those popular social media applications overnight became control rooms for disaster relief. With the situation getting out of control, almost all Facebook groups and Instagram pages ranging from trolls to gossips and discussion forums suspended their regular activity and focused on one thing helping those affected by the flood. We shall definitely overcome this time as well, we must. .
    The biggest take away from what we did was standing united at the time of the biggest challenge, facing it head-on with all resources possible while taking care of one and all. .

    We the kerala people were going through the worst natural calamity of the century in the past few days. Tge flood has erased a major portion of our country. It was a terrific time of depression, anxiety and every kinda stress and pain. Army, Navy, Air forces, Kerala police, NDRF, other forces, Fishermen and common people were leading the rescue and relief process. Every one of us were committing ourselves for aiding the rescue process and serving the people who'd been rescued. It will take many days to rebuild our state. So I request all the kind hearts around the globe to donate your contributions to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. You can also donate food, dress, medicines and all other necessities to the relief camps. Even your small donations or even 1 rupee can be helpful to someone in need. So please Pray for Kerala and Do for Kerala! ♥ NB: Checkout the first image for more details!

    These dark clouds will soon pass,
    The divine rays of a resilient sun shall soon restore life as it was,
    Slowly but certainly!
    These waters will recede, new life shall nourish the night flower's morning dew,
    This grim hunger shall be soon gone, with a promising harvest ever new
    Slowly but certainly !
    The cold days of hostile shores these critical tongues seeking false fame,
    Shall soon end and give way to warm homes that embrace inviting each of us by name,
    Slowly but certainly ...
    This pain, this grief, this gnarled existence, will bow
    To healing and comfort and strength of soul we so well know
    Slowly but certainly
    This slip of the mighty shall soon be stuff of battle lore
    That speaks of courage, of passion, of how we're made of so much more
    Slowly but certainly
    This hour of retrospect, of forced inner stillness
    Shall fill us with new wisdom
    Deliver us from brokenness
    Slowly but certainly
    We can, we will overcome
    This deluge's vicious fiefdom
    Together with the known and unknown
    We will rebuild God's own kingdom
    Slowly but certainly,
    Slowly but certainly!

    When we were battling with the torrents
    of nature's tempestuousness
    gasping for the
    last speck of hope,
    Ill-heartedly you stamped us;
    'god's drowned country.'

    When we were desperately
    seeking for light beams
    in pitch-black dungeons,
    blindfoldedly you labelled us;

    When we wheezed for air
    under your noses,
    you demeaned us;
    denying this a national disaster.

    Yet we will thrive.
    We will overcome.
    We will rebuild.

    For we are keralites,
    renowned storms
    we ourselves are.
    Together we stand,
    united we conquer.

    "Now yu guys are pleading for Modi's help, abhi sabko ModiJi chahiye,Modiji kyun support karega" -responded someone to my comment of how our PM chose to stay unaware of d flood situation

    Oh yeah! Y not, "Your party" doesnt have enough seats in kerala to help them. So u guys r really lookin into d fact that kerala dint vote for ur gvrnmnt?
    The first thing i want you ppl to undrstnd is that Your Modiji is UNFORTUNATELY the so called PRIME MINISTER OF INDIA (executive head of india) which includes Kerala too..He is the one resposible n liable to help.Vo koi ehsaan nhi kr rha h hamre upar It is his duty to help his ppl in need.
    N even if he isn't in d mood to help, its ok. We have a group of good hearted ppl across our REAL INDIA unconsidering whether it is north, south, east or west to support ..
    We will survive & we will return..
    N pls stop connecting keralafloods with beef eating or lord Aiyyapa wrath grow up ppl.. N to all those creeps who says calamity has affected the muslim dominated/ christian dominated areas of kerala only stop playing your political strategy, WE HINDUS-MUSLIMS-CHRISTIANS WILL ALWAYS STAY UNITED FOR A UNITED INDIA. Atleast pls dont try to freeze the relief efforts
