Dinner chair
We got a new table set and I had been working on it
We have been rocky and I'm a mess but I still see the end zone
We get into a disagreement and the tide turns and hope fails
I try to talk it out and you show me how quick a fade can steal a smile
Tears in my eyes as I know that I'm not enough
As the words echo that you have fallen out of love
My heart shatters and becomes unglued
And I offer every vital piece to you
See you tell me that your heart is broken and you are numb
So I would let my heart bleed out and become undone
I would scrape and try to digest every single flaw that leaves you unimpressed
But instead I lie possessed knowing every single step I take leave you distressed
So I lose myself and try to catch my breath
But holding onto any ounce of hope that I have left
So I grip and try to stay in place
And continue building this dinner chair for the hope of better days. -

A night may come you feel off and disconnected.
Bewildered in silence you seem so lost.
Alone in the room wondering, secluded and unprotected
From the thoughts that made you frown whatever be the cause.
Man fears change. He is hesitant again to begin.
For he treats this world as an abode to stay.
Man shows his joy yet he is lacking within.
So he goes to search for answers in any way.
Man tends to treat affection as solution
Or goes into intoxicants to "forget" his sadness.
But little did he know, those are just delusions.
For if taken away, it will be an absolute madness.
Every human on Earth feels the same way
Unknown reason of sadness as he felt empty inside.
For a man to his purpose becomes distant and away.
Despite giving all the pleasures the world can provide.
Every time you experience this, contemplate and start.
What is the matter? An unknown feeling I fail to see.
You are not alone, open and question your heart.
Find your purpose and let the truth set you free.
