Maybe he's left alone today
In a state of turmoil afterall
But still his dreams
Shine during the night...

I'm left alone afterall
With leaves withering from my life
All I'm doing is waiting
In this one left home
Where there's always dark
No sounds heard
Neither light visible nor some spark
And reminiscing my days as a wife
With just memories left, I am
More of a mother who writes letters
Just writing my words
With these black pointed feathers
Waiting for my kids
To read my words and write one back
But my letters seem like
The only ones still left unread on the rack

Cries heard all over the earth
Trees read to be dry and die
Leaves feeling down as if autumn
Clouds already left saying goodbye
Mud awaiting rain still feeling alone
No grains ready to be a plant and grow
Mother earth weeping for the rains
With rivers dried, no visible water flow

When she read my story
What she uttered was
"It's a cliché"
And I was stumped
Searching for ideas
During the day and night
Visiting cities in my sleep
Thinking even when
Totally exhausted was I
But at last in my head
There I realised that
Never is a cliché
There in life
And that's how a
Brand new story began

Friendship to me is telling each other that I'm there when you need me, when you need my support, I'll be your shoulder to cry on, I'll cheer you up during the dark times and I'll be the one to celebrate with you your smallest success.

You can't exactly fulfill all the expectations in life but you can't totally neglect them as well. Opportunities do knock twice but it's not necessary that this opportunity is the same as the previous one. Even if you decide your line, you may end up somewhere you hadn't planned. Because that's how life is.

"Your hope is powerful than your demons only if you believe in it."

On most days, I'm the perfect child
Listening to those expectations
Thinking about that unwanted future
Something I never dreamt of
It feels like I'm trapped on all sides
And there's no way to escape
Its suffocating at times you see
But sometimes I'm just numb...

Let’s get creative today and write a tiny piece of fiction. Here is the prompt:
You wake up and there is darkness around you. You hear a soft hum of a buzz near you and can see a tiny dot of light if you squint your eyes. What are the 2 possible scenarios that you are in?
Pick any one scenario, what happens next? How do you feel? Are you charged with energy? Are you scared? Tired? Excited?
Happy writing!

Come live with me and be my Love,
And we will all the pleasures prove
That hills and valleys, dale and field,
And all the craggy mountains yield.
- Christopher Marlowe
Pastoral poetry originated in ancient Greece when the poet Theocritus started writing about rural life and nature in the countryside.A pastoral poem focuses on the fantasy of withdrawing from modern life to live in an idyllic rural setting. No matter the form or structure the poetry takes, it always explores country life.
--Today, write a short pastoral poem.--

Only two countries use purple in their national flags.
The flag of NICARAGUA features a rainbow in the center that includes a band of purple, while the flag of DOMINICA boasts a picture of a sisserou parrot, a bird with purple feathers.
(Source: https://www.prb.org)
Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red. It has long been associated with wealth and royalty.
Let's write about the colour purple today.
