MERRY AND BRIGHT

Oh our smiles are much brighter
As we sit 'round the fire
Near the Christmas tree, all aglow

And the colorful lights
Add some thrills to our nights
As they shine on the gifts placed below

Oh with family and friends
All this fun never ends
As we merrily dance and we sing

We're all in festive moods
As we sample the foods
That everyone gathered to bring

There'll be 'mallows for roasting
And champagne for toasting
As we ring in another new year

And with joy in our hearts
We embrace the fresh start
While surrounded by those we hold dear

So, no matter the weather
We will all come together
Just as sure as the lines in this poem

Whether near, whether far
From wherever we are
The holidays call us back home.
