I choose to stay in my attic when I feel low, when I feel terrified, when I feel threatened. I choose to stay in my attic to gain comfort. It satisfies me of my calm. It helps me think; sort; gain perspective. My attic has everything stored in it- Every memory, good or bad; every moment; happy or otherwise; every experience, exciting or horrifying. I choose to be there whenever I need to be with myself more than anyone else.
My attic is my comfort zone; and the comfort it provides me in solace is all I look for in times of stress- away from people, away with myself, to redefine my life.
